Stop penalising me for quitting when its 1 vs 4 in competitive mode
I keep getting sent into games a that are not 4 vs 4 . Then i quit because i don't feel like boosting another teams ego for 10 minutes.
I can handle 3 vs 4 but if it ends up being 2 vs 4 i'm outta there.
Either make it fill the teams up as we go or stop penalising me.

The problem is people quitting out at the start of a fresh match. Sore losers, combined with join in progress (which is a foolhardy system in itself) that punishes fresh players instead of those who desert the game.

Mercy rule should kick in when there is at least 50% difference in players between the two teams. I know 4v3 can be a nightmare too depending on how good the other players are, but it is possible. 4v1-2 is just dumb, and should force the game to end. Also, games that start 4v1-2-3 should end immediately and not count as a win or loss for anyone and put them right back into matchmaking.

There needs to be some sort of "Surrender" rule where teams can vote to accept a loss, in exchange for bringing the game to an early end. That might help the quitting problem. In the meantime, just let them kill you and get it over with, rather than quitting and taking a penalty.

they definitely need to add a mercy rule to comp poor guy earlier today ended up by himself in a control match and it ended 10-100 we all felt bad for the guy but we werent gonna throw the match or leave and didnt wanna wait ten minutes for the timer we all gave him props for sticking it out though

Don't quit, you loose more Glory than you are for loosing. Next step, play with a team. Comp is a lot easier.

2 RepliesEdited by ELRaSun: 11/5/2018 5:58:19 PMThey are probably hesitant to put in quitter protections severe enough to stop teammates from quitting because the servers are run on a potato and disconnects happen so often. Plus there is network manipulation that goes on. At the same time they are hesitant to remove because it’s slightly exploitable, for example, if they remove any penalty whatsoever from games quit while outnumbered. Those most likely to cheat (ppl in stacks) will just grind their character and have a friend use an alt account that they don’t care if it loses points or gets temp banned. Theres nothing they can do to totally stop the quitters, BUT one fix for this is Easy: Competitive Bounties. They should work like Gambit bounties and grant rank points, as well as crucible tokens. This way, even if you’re in a losing match or outnumbered there is some value in having to stay because you can focus on skilling up and, for example, getting off your Headshot kills before you get teamshot or whatever the bounty happens to be, to offset the loss a bit. Other than that.. it’s all pros and cons until Destiny 3 where they better have Dedicated Servers.

1 ReplyI've gotten penalised 3 times because I got an error code. That pissed me off. And I was going for handcannon kills. They weren't counted each time. So had to do it all over again.

4 RepliesThere REALLY should be something they can do about that...this is a legitimate gripe...far different than "I go in solo and match a 4srack" lol....especially if you are trying to rank up...why should you lose glory points because you get put in a bad situation like that?

According to bungie you must endure their bs. That's why they shouldn't have penalties until they get better servers and better matchmaking. After that then they can implement quitter penalties.

1 ReplyI had a steak. Logged in. For some reason electricity went off before the match EVEN STARTED. Bottom line: 1 lost 30 points most likely my team also lost. Did that made the game more competitive? No it didnt.

2 RepliesI'd really like a solution like this, but in reality this could be used by players to bypass the entire points system and never have to lose points by having one or two people quit and take the penalty, and then making the others able to quit without penalty. Would be sorta unfair in that regard, but for solo queue - this is absolutely necessery. I get thrown into 2v4 fights all the time and I can't take it anymore, I'm emotionally drained to the very bottom from cancer like this.

I wonder what would happen if the MM algorithm gave you additional health/damage if you're at a numerical disadvantage. In other words, make it fair be virtue of health/damage adjustment.

Destiny 2 comp is a joke and Lunas should just be PvP in general because of it. If your playing comp just to play comp tho... I recommend any other game really...

1 ReplyMost other games with "quitter penalties" only give the penalty to the first person that leaves. Everyone who leaves after the first person doesn't get a penalty. No reason to penalize someone who quits an unfair fight...
