Problem with Escalation Protocol loot
Since season 3 I have done 56 EPs and only got 1 shotgun. Surely I should have got more from doing that.
Anybody else have rotten luck with loot on that.
Also i did tweet this to bungie "i did 56 of them and only got 1 shotgun" but to no surprise my tweet got no reply.

Just to clarify I do know that the guns rotate every week and the drop rate is low. I am NOT just after the shotgun. I just want the guns for my collection and to complete the emblem.
56 may not seem much to some but is plenty for me as i'd like get to finish other stuff in this game too like weapon quests and raid (not even started it yet). My friends have done about the same number of completions as me and got all guns except for one who has rotten luck with drops.
I don't expect 100% drop rates just something a bit more fair

Umm if you want more of the ep shotgun you can reforge it in your collections for your other characters if you want.

What loot? Haven’t seen an EP gun yet. Though my completions are only around 23. Wait, I did get a gun to drop after killing the final boss the other day. Edge Transit. That was a cruel twist.

1 ReplyUnfortunately there are others who have worse luck than 56. Some over 100 with a single drop. I dropped my first weapon at 42 and it was the SMG. Yet fandoms and some others have received the shotgun first go or within first 5 completions. Just the other day I saw a player get back to back shotguns then an exotic on his third. Shaders for the rest of us. That isn’t RNG. It’s coded that way. Grinders will have to grind harder. PT players drop everything. Those in the middle is hit or miss.

Much less for the other weapons, but seeing as it is one of the most powerful weapons in the game I feel the grind is worth and 56 runs over 4-5 months is not that much. the increase in chance is only for consecutive runs.

3 RepliesEdited by AnCapaillMor: 10/31/2018 11:27:21 AMYou know the shotgun only drops some of the weeks? so you might've run the bulk of your EPs on the weeks the shotgun wasn't in the loot pool. 1 week for shotty, next is sniper, next smg, next 2 weeks is all 3 can drop and the loop repeats. Not sure if that's the right order. And why do you need more than 1 shotty, it's y1 so will always drop with the same burn and set of perks.
