No shit it is. It is supposed to be. D2's launch and CoO were nearly devoid of grind, which Bungie admits and the community called them out for. We all had NOTHING TO DO after only a few weeks, so the sensible and logical improvement was to give us reasons to play every day/week, hence more grind. Nobody is forcing you to grind every day or 8+hrs a day though. If you want a break, take a break. It's not a race.
