how about a reload animation in which we throw the Edge transit, it explodes, turns into a a purple enegram that the guardian then proceeds to open and immediately gets another edge transit with the same rolls, light level, and the same amount of ammo?

There should be a 1/10,000 chance to get an exotic Edge Transit upon reloading the Edge Transit called Last Transit, Edgier/Edgiest Transit or Transit to the very Edge and that should be an actual perk of the edge transit. Either that or it should have a 1/1000 chance to drop a quest to get an exotic version of itself upon being dismantaled.
