The raid is endgame. It’s supposed to give you the best gear/items in the game. If you are upset that the third seed of light is in the raid, you shouldn’t have wasted your other two

4 Repliesraid is endgame and I can choose to play it or not. the third subclass is a basic feature of my character since d1 and isn't correct lock it it behind the raid!
-
So you're absolutely fine with fact Bungie is now treating a basic mechanic such as a class ability as loot that can only be obtained from one activity that most players don't even do? ** smfh **
-
One of the selling points for the dlc was the new supers. To unlock new supers you need seeds of light. Most who play this game like myself considers the subclasses to be basic gameplay elements and not endgame content. As such they should not drop from the raid. Should have made it drop from the heroic blind well as a small percentage of the playerbase will attempt this raid and a fraction of that will actually beat it.

5 RepliesBecause... if they would have made that very clear to start people may have planned differently and class abilities aren't end game ffs.
I edited the really nasty response in favor of this one to help promote diplomacy
-
because this isnt just a item to unlock a weapon/armor piece but a part of the skill tree used to hype the add on. and its linked to character development everyone that bought forsaken should get it. lock some epic weapon like the vex or a new gjallarhorn behind the endgame which i would be very happy with thats a reward. but not a part of the skill tree thats just wrong
-
A subclass is neither gear nor item. It was also one of their selling points and no one in their right mind would’ve ever expected them to pull a stunt like that
-
Character classes are part of the base game, not a piece of loot like a cloak or shotgun. If you don't understand that there's really nothing anyone can say to make you see reason.

1 ReplyJust the typical entitled desticle that wants free handouts.

As usual Bungle took something good(Forsaken) and turned it into a dumpster fire full of excrement.
-
Mostly because Bungie screwed up the game so much in a year One that none of our clanmates are coming back so we don't have people to raid with and will never get to experience the raid unless we get picked up by someone else's raid group
-
3 RepliesThe seed isn’t an end game item. Unlocking the subclasses are basic things that take a mission in every version of destiny
-
11 RepliesThe Raid might be endgame .......... but Supers shouldn't be.
-
1 ReplyIn my opinion, the new Warlock void one looks like it has the power of a wet fart, the arc Hunter is just Arcstrider but it can deflect, and Titan void is boring compared to becoming a missile and beating Randal the Vandal to death with a hammer. I only need two for each, really.

Edited by Shattered Mind: 9/15/2018 3:57:46 PMAbilities aren't endgame loot. They're not even loot at all. So to lock them behind and endgame activity is just stupid design. This is bungie's way of getting more people to do the Raid, which I think more people should be doing, since the raids are some of the best stuff in Destiny, but to incentivize the Raid by locking a core subclass? That's just bad. And to say that we "shouldn't have wasted our other two" is just ignorant. People wouldn't have known the 3rd seed drops from the Raid, and if they did, they probably would have spent their other 2 more wisely. But it's kinda hard to make the best decision when you don't know all the options. It would behoove you to get down from your high horse and come join the rest of us in reality.

8 RepliesThis isn't it just some mere weapon or armor piece. It's an entire set of character abilities and a Super. Basic gameplay elements that shouldn't be locked behind an activity like the Raid. It's terrible gameplay design and an obvious sign that Bungie are incapable of going that extra mile to make acquiring these powers meaningful. Sure, kudos to Bungo for making the Visions of Light quest, that was awesome. But that's it? Why did the awesome storytelling stop there? Why isn't there another set of personal quests that highlight the importance of acquiring these powers, ala The Taken King? For example, I'm playing a Titan and the first Seed was spent on the Sunbreaker's new Path. If I was writing the mission to obtain this Super, it would be set on Mercury. A signal is broadcasting out from the Infinite Forest, one that surprises everyone because it comes from the ruler of the Sunbreakers themselves. We would go into the Forest to find the source of the signal, only to find the leader is dead upon their simulated throne, with the Burning Maul still alight in their hand. We claim it and continue the legacy of the now destroyed Sunbreakers. See? So easy. But no, Bungie are clearly back on the "screw non-Raiders" boat and want people to play the activity that half the playerbase has never wanted to play.

Yeah and concidering each class has a sub thats meh nobody should be upset they only have two right now.
-
Subclass branch shouldn't be seen as a, "reward," imo. Have no issue with rewards being locked behind tough content, but a subclass branch seems a bit much. I will eventually get them all, using lfg. But this will cause a chit storm, both here and on the web. Can't understand Bungie's reasoning on this. Would love to see a video of them explaining this decision.
-
Don’t know man. Don’t know
-
Because boo hoo, I'm a solo player and LFG scares me.
-
Maybe Xur will end up offering them one week, who knows 🤷
-
So many waaaambulances have been called today
-
Because most of them are casuals. They also hate how exotics are rare and want 600 power handed to them
-
Unlocking character subclasses is not loot. It’d be fine if there was cool, powerful raid weapons & armor. Or a ship or shaders or whatever.
-
I take solace in knowing the forums are a concentrated cesspool of elitist nonsense, and not a true representation of the players. Most people who play Destiny don't bother with this nonsense. Hopefully they build in a challenging, but non raid option.
-
Is that why I can’t get the 3rd sub class to drop?
-
I'm not upset. Who's upset?
