DFA Drop / Recreate Circumstances to Test
82 Runs total, the last two being just a bit ago when I got it to drop on the last one. WIth it being the weekend and Xur here, wanting to see if people can start recreating the same circumstances and see if it improves the drop chance.
Have the 110K threshold and emblem on.
Pop a fire team medallion
Pop a three of coins.
Speed run Prestige.
Report back how many runs it takes before it appears if it does.
EDIT: Stop posting that it dropped for you outside of these circumstances. That's not the intention of this. It's meant for players who haven't gotten it to drop to start running under these circumstances and see if it possibly affects the chance of it dropping.
EDIT2: Buddy got two to drop back to back. Think he was around 50 or so completions. Same circumstances.
EDIT3: RNG is not a blanket counter argument. We know the loot system is RNG. A random number which implies odds and chance and therefore probability. The TWAB confirms that high score improves your odds/chance. Meaning that the Medallion and 3oC could as well. Using the argument that it's just RNG is not an argument at all.

1 ReplyI think it’s really just random. I ran normal, Prestige, ran for high scores and speed ran it. After 60 or so runs it dropped on Prestige with Heavyweight and Void Singe as the modifiers, so I don’t think score really matters as ours was below 10k.

2 RepliesThere's a slightly higher chance with high scores but not enough to justify the extra time over speed running. Got mine off 17 runs mostly on normal. No one else in fire teams got it in these runs. No medallions, 3oCs etc

First weekend it was available I got 3 in 5 runs. Have close to 50 runs for the sniper, still nothing. RNG is a bitch.

Ok so let’s say to get the gun I need to roll a 100 on a 100 sided dice. A reg run give me a 1% chance to get the gun. That means I get one roll per run on a 99 sided dice (bc 1% if the numbers on the dice is removed from the equation) to get it. So for those that are like “ i got it from a reg run on the first try” gg to you. Rng Jesus smiled on you. Now being that bungie said higher difficulty higher chance then you would think a prestige 110k run would be a 40% chance. Thus meaning 1 attempt on a now 60 sided dice ( bc 40% of the number are removed) for the gun per run. So quit complaining about not getting it on your 80th reg run. Not meaning the op. Just all the ppl whining on this forum about it. If it was easy to get nobody would be even talking about this gun bc it’s shyte.
