I hate Solo Competitive
How to do good in Comp.
Step 1. Be in a fire team of 4
Step 2. Use Graviton Lance or Vigilance
Step 3. Pray to RNJesus that you get 4 randoms
Step 4. Repeat till you get Radrix Claymore or legend
This is pretty much how you are going to get that pulse rifle which Sucks for solos because you have to hope you get pared with a three man team or go against other randoms. I wish bungie made two Comp modes. One for the solo group and one for teams and I lost 100 points because I was not in a team and lost the brave rank.

Don’t understand why everyone is moaning about solo I’m not that great at pvp and I play comp solo 90% of the time and managed to get 1600 points so far just got to stick at it

im just shy of 600 glory. all but 4 of my games were solo. play better with your teammates, randoms or not

It’s almost like people who playing comp are playing competitively. Working as a team, playing the meta, strategizing. The scoundrels.

4 RepliesIt’s basically a “one step forward one step back” scenario for me. I get paired up with a good team and we win. Then we get broken up and I promptly get matched with a bad team and lose. I really wish Bungie would invest in a solo competitive mode. I can’t tell you how many 4 stacks I’ve come across. As a side note: I also really wish the winning team would stop getting separated after a game. According to Bungie this game is about making new friends. You could make that much easier by not breaking teams that work well together.

2 Repliescommon sense would dictate in order to get ahead in a competitive team mode would be bring a team. LeBron wouldn't go grab random scrubs off the street to help him in the playoffs, why would you give yourself the least possible route to victory?

3 RepliesCompetitive wasn’t meant for solo play. I’m currently at a 1.66 k/d, 2.25 ka/d and have a 67% win ratio as a solo player all in quickplay and even I have the sense not to go into comp solo. This attitude that everyone should be able to have everything is why we have this dumbed down version of Destiny to begin with. If you want to play comp and you see another good player who is also running solo... just send them a message. It’s not that hard to pick up other good solo players to team up with.

Im getting 2.1 every game while the turd fergusons on my team are getting .5

42 RepliesYou don't even have to pray for solos. Every 4 stack I play in manipulates the matchmaking. If you see the queue go from 4 to 8 immediately, press B. Keep doing it until you see it go from 4 to something less than 8. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't feel bad for doing it. Bungie apparently wants it done this way since they don't want to make a solo playlist.

I always play solo competitive and have around 90 wins untill now. Sometimes i win 3-4 in a row and sometimes i loose a couple. Sometimes i even destroy full fireteams. My solo competitive win ratio is 38%........................... And i HATE it, haha.

3 RepliesSolution to this: either don't try to solo queue, or if you do, understand you are at a massive disadvantage. This mode is made for team play at higher skill levels, and it tells you that in the Director entry. You are welcome to try ranking it solo. I think the number of solo queue players that hit rank 3 will be less than 100-200, if even that. Also, if the Lance and Wing are giving you trouble, learn to play their counter weapons. Mida can ruin the Wing, because anything with enhanced flinch can tank it's TTK quickly. Same goes for Uriel's. Lance isn't really a pulse, it's a scout that can miss 80% of it's damage on a bad shot, so make use of cover and strafe, and go for flinch with HCR or Explosive Payload. Neither of these guns performs well in closer ranges, so Sunshot and Crimson open up a world of opportunities there, as do the DFA and better Devils. Creative play with the Antiope / Atalanta (think aerial approach) kills hard scopers faster than they can react a lot of times; don't ADS unless you have to, hip fire is fine. Just be aware that Wing users are likely going to have the Last Hope or Sol Pariah, and Lance users will likely have Antiope or Atalanta, and plan accordingly. 2 RepliesI have won three of three games solo. I haven’t played much, but it really hasn’t been bad. I honestly don’t know what else they can do. Let’s try to get the heroic strikes fixed, that seems to be way bigger of a problem.

I hate solo competitive as well so I don't play it. Quickplay is bad enough.
