Class specific weapon Ideas.

Something I was thinking about today was to include Class specific weapons to make each one feel more special. So Im just going to toss some ideas out there and would love to hear your thoughts. Titan: 1:Heavy maces: large maces that can have slow speed and high damage causing small shock waves on impact. [heavy slot] 2:Charge cannon: A bulky cannon that you have to charge before shooting similar to a fusion rifle but takes a bit longer and only shoots one hard hitting beam.[heavy slot] 3: Lance launcher: A launcher that fires very large spear like projectiles dealing high damage but is snails pace at reloads. It would excel at shield breaking. [Heavy slot] Warlock: 1: Staff: Staves imbued with freakin space magic. This would be a cool area to explore think of all the coll things the could do. Warlocks should feel more magical and I feel this would be a great step. You could not only have them shoot elemental damage but have some with interesting spell effects. Like low gravity,buffs for team members, or different projectiles that behave in different way on impact. But this is a topic in and of it self. [heavy slot] 2:Burst canister launcher: A medium gun that launches low damage, and high AOE elemental damage and can release clouds or cover the in that element to deal slow DOT. would be good for area control and taking down groups of shielded enemies.[special or heavy] Hunters: 1: dual pistols: Matching sets of pistols that deal low damage and high fire rate. maybe they could have bonus accuracy while in the air for that matrix feel.[special slot] 2: Elemental crossbows: Its just a high tech crossbow in space. Maybe have it deal extra damage to un shielded targets or make it good at head shots with harder to aim sights. [special or heavy slot] 3: Throwing weapons: So is just like throwing knives or stars that can be used in you primary for high fire rate low to medium damage med to low range. just so you can feel like more of a ninja in space. possibly elemental versions for the special slot.[primary or special] [spoiler]Moderator edit: This thread has been moved to #Feedback forum so that other Destiny players can weigh in.     Maybe make an arcstrider specific exotic Called arc blade. I’m not talking about d1 arc blade. U stay in 1st person and the knife has an extended range melee attack that 2 shots. Special slot

  • Trying to -blam!- over warlocks again I see lol. We already have bungie doing that, we don't need any more ideas piling on the -blam!-ery.

        Nice. Staves are something I've always thought would be cool for Warlocks. NOTE: [i]These melee weapons theorized as a 2 hit kill minimum in the crucible.[/i] NOTE 2: RB/R1= light attack (L), RT/R2= heavy attack (H), LT/L2= Block (B) Example Exotic Staff [b][u]Solar[/u][/b] Heavy staff- Slow attack, hard strike. Efficient Block. [b][u]Perks[/u][/b]: [b]Viking Funeral[/b]- all strikes apply Solar burn. Enemies that die from burns grant grenade energy. [b]Healing Flames[/b]- Grenades thrown while staff is held grant health to allies hit and trigger health regen. [b][u]Attacks/Combos[/u][/b]: [b]L+L[/b]- Causes solar explosion on hit. [b]L+H+H[/b]- Slam the head on the ground, causing forward wave of flame that places a burn and knocks back those hit. [b]B+H[/b] while blocking, charge the staff. Once charged slam down and cause a Solar nova centered on you.

      • I like the thought of dual pistols. While inefficient in the real world, would add a nice touch to a fantasy setting. I'd actually propose that it be a skill available to gunslinger. If he/she has a Sidearm/Handcannon equipped in both energy and kinetic, then they are dual wielded.

        The charge cannon sounds like a spartan laser from halo but still cool non the less. I also would prefer an axe over a mace but thats just me.

            • No i am not a hunter because i want to be a sniper or stay in the back ground and beeing a titan doesnt mean you dont want to snipe .This what you have made is one big stereotype.

                • I would definitely like to see more class specific weapons. Also would like to see the class specific swords with an exotic quest upgrade.

                • i like it, in a world of magic like destiny where light & dark are always at war classes should really have their own mystical weapons that make them stand out. The hive have some cool weapons like boomers, hive knights & acolytes
