No wonder him and Trump get along 🤣🤣
At one point during the conversation, Kanye said, “When you hear about slavery for 400 years ... for 400 years? That sound like a choice.
“Like … you was there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all?” he asked incredulously.

Edited by SuperStormDroid: 5/4/2018 11:20:44 PMNot to mention /pol/ backs this. My, my, has 4chan fallen. Kekistan should go die in hole! Even if they are pushed into said hole by weebs and otakus.

9 RepliesIt seems you took this out of context like all of the other dumbasses.

400 years? Been going on for quite a bit longer than that
-
11 RepliesEdited by Mr Bossypants: 5/4/2018 9:04:11 AMI thought it was profound because the slavery in question didn't last 400 years. The part of his statement "that sounds like a choice" is in reference to the years after slavery was abolished. No one is threatening anyone with slavery in modern America and yet black people are clinging to that portion of history oppressing themselves.

4 RepliesAnd tell me when Trump at any point said he was cool with White supremacists?

I’d say Kanye West needs to think before he speaks but I doubt he’s capable of forming a coherent thought anyway. I don’t know why people care so much about what has to say anyway. All the amazingly talented people in the world and this guy is held up as a “genius”?
-
2 RepliesWell their kings did choose to trade them off to a faraway land in return for guns and shit once upon a time.
-
1 ReplyThe Root? Hahaha. Everything they post is anti white. Also, you have a unhealthy obsession with Trump.
-
Well you have to remember it was blacks selling blacks into slavery
-
1 ReplyBe a slave or die. What a choice.

He added, “You [were] there for 400 years and it’s all of y’all. It’s like we’re mentally in prison. I like the word ‘prison’ because ‘slavery’ goes too direct to the idea of Blacks. Slavery is to Blacks as the Holocaust is to Jews. Prison is something that unites as one race.” He goes on to say “that we’re the human race.” http://deadline.com/2018/05/kanye-west-donald-trump-slavery-racism-tmz-interviews-twitter-1202380790/ He's not very articulate, maybe he's saying the past is the past. You can choose to cling to old hurts or move on. I really don't know, he seems to have a problem expressing this thoughts.

Technically there is always a choice, it's just that the other choice is not something most people would go for. Let's be honest here, there are those in history who refused to cave in. It's just that they usually got a slow painful death to be made an example of to others.

The man is an idiot....he's just a famous idiot. One who apparently never bothered to show up for history class. The nation of Haiti was born of successful slave rebellion. ...and part of the reason why lynchings and other patterns of lurid violence against slaves (and later free African-Americans) was to SUPPRESS violence against whites. By basically conducting a campaign of terrorism. There was a direct correlation between the size of the African-American population relative to the white population...and the level and intensity of violence by whites. Its why the history of such violence is so brutal in places like Mississippi and South Carolina....while significantly less in other areas of the South.

I have 3 points to make on this... 1. You don't go to rappers for history lessons 2. Kanye has always been erratic 3. Don't ever go to celebrities for opinions an anything other than their craft. They live in a different world.

Taking people out of context is cool too!

Edited by Stonebrixxx2: 5/3/2018 3:58:21 PMWhat a dumbass

The moment TCD leaves, Kanye goes off the deep end Coincidence?
-
3 RepliesI actually see what he was trying to say, though he communicated it poorly. I think he was implying that the majority of slaves did not choose to rise up against the owners. In that way, it was a choice, but what was the alternative? To be hunted down and executed? While I get his line of thought, it was still misguided. Very rarely has a slave uprising ended well for the slaves involved.

1 ReplySurprising What’s not surprising is how much money you can save by switching to Geico

Edited by Times Vengeance: 5/2/2018 3:36:56 PM"Were", Kanye. It's "you were there[...]"

A small army of big strong black men and women should've risen up against masa even if he was a goddamn vampire!

That is what happens when you sleep with a hobbit.

It's no wonder he and Trump get along. Maybe between the two of them there's a functioning brain.
