Do not buy the fall expansion!

13 RepliesD1 was a mess with a lot less to do than what D2 has now and was in a worse state but the fall DLC changed a ok game into a good game. I am willing to give D2 that chance. Ps. We do not even know about the next dlc or any changes Bungie has planned after it's release so making this kind of post is VERY short sighted..

I'm no longer playing the game, but if fall rolls around and they've managed to make the game fun again...as well as release a good dlc...I won't turn my nose up at it. After all, I play games to have fun.

The only reason people are so fond of D1 vanilla over D2 vanilla is because the weapons earned justified the shitty repetitive grind that existed back then. It took a full YEAR AND A HALF for me to get Gjallahorn! Now the missions are actually more fun but there’s no reason to do them over and over because you get everything after two weeks of playing. The collection grind should have averaged around six months per person. This would have been sufficient enough to keep people busy in between each dlc. D1 was too grindy whereas D2 is not grindy enough. Bungie just needs to find the Laffer curve for exotic drop rates and the games biggest issue is solved.
