So Bungie is gonna be introducing a quitting penalty. Do you know why so many are quitting? It’s because the match making is just plain terrible. A player in the solo queue is getting matched up against 3 or 4 person fire teams. They aren’t gonna stand a chance in this team shooting stuff. I can’t handle it anymore. What a terrible, TERRIBLE idea that we get penalized when we are gonna be stuck with this sandbox and meta for 7 long months (assuming that change actually comes in March). I have tried and tried with D2. But this is terrible.

Dude it comes out at the same time as the sandbox update. team shot might not be a big issue if the sandbox does their job. Wtf am I saying the sandbox team is terrible.

1 ReplyDisconnecting players should be only be allowed to reconnect to the game they left, just in case it was network / ISP / server issues that caused the DC. If the player willfully disconnected using Alt-F4, then they should be penalized.

Just keep an eye on the roster as its matchmaking, that way you can see if a team of 4 joins, then just leave before it’s even started, minamal time lost, the original teams will just re matchmake. Everyone’s a winner.

As far as I know it's only in competitive playlist.
-
I'm with you. It's BS
-
I had quite a few IB games where I got matched in 2 vs 4s. Presumably quitting that would incur a penalty. Seems fair.
-
Haha.. This is so fun, seeing as Bungie quit this game months ago....
-
While it does suck sometimes. There have been a few games against 3-4 where they just sucked

2 RepliesEdited by RabbitFly: 2/5/2018 7:10:16 PMYou deserve no sympathy. What you are saying is that you deserve to be able to drop out of a match because you think you are going to lose. Thus ruining the match for the other 7 players. Get over yourself. I don't know how many games I have seen solo qeued people beat a full fireteam. It happens all the time. The only reason you don't see it is surely because you never stay to find out.
-
How about you don't play a bad game? If it's so terrible then why do you care that there's a penalty for leaving? Just don't join in the first place. Problem fixed.
-
Ahem... “The crucible is no place for mercy”
-
Just look at it as an opportunity to take a break, use the restroom, check email, whatever. Set yourself to dancing at the spawn point and walk away for a few minutes.
-
Just watch the roster during matchmaking. See a 3 or 4 man squad and backout of matchmaking. If Bungie doesn’t wanna try with their matchmaking then might as well manipulate it urself. As long as ur quitting before a match is made, no penalty
-
Bungie will just be reducing the player base even more with this! Sooooo Working as Bungie intended!!!!

16 RepliesBlame yourselves. Everyone bitched about SBMM is D1. Now you have CBMM.

7 RepliesEdited by Madman Asunder: 2/5/2018 2:24:15 PMno. matchmaking system doesn't matter. if you commit to a match. finish it. If a match took longer than 10 minutes (usually shorter) I may sympathize. But with such a small commitment and you still can't follow through? you are a part of the problem. Bungie can be at fault for the matchmaking. I'm not arguing with that. You are a problem aside from that issue. Also. I solo queued my way through iron banner. most games were within 15 points and I won around 50% exactly. that is a matchmaking system working IMO.
-
And what about the times I join a match and have a team of 3 versus 4? What happens if I get beavered or weaseled out of a game? Will I be penalized for that?
-
I read this "Oh boo hoo! I quit matches cause I suck and don't want to try to win. So I'm mad cause I'm gonna get a quitters penalty!"
-
Good. People need to learn to stick with something even when it's not going their way.
-
Bungie is going to be introducing a quitting penalty because players have been asking for one for years.
-
Lol see. Before people wanted this , and as soon as bungie does what the people want more people complain about it. Regardless of how D2 is, they will never be able to make the community happy.
-
9 RepliesSo you guys all ask for a way to penalize the people who quit early and the second bungie implements it you guys backlash at them as usual
-
Who cares to be honest, the smart people don’t even play D2 anymore because it’s sh*t
-
1 ReplyDon't worry, the game will be dead by the time that happens. I've been in rooms filled with mannequins that had more life than Destiny 2.
-
people are still crying about solo vs teams in a team based game. in case you haven't taken notice, you too could play as a team, as a matter of fact, guess what you're doing at the start of a match? say it with me, playing with a team...... while there are lots of flaws with this game this error is on your behalf. a team based game should be played with teams, going in by yourself isn't that big of a deal either. it's still the same number of people against the same number. quitters should be penalized. because you are too scared or bad to stay in a game until completion makes it worse on those who do.

personally I don't care I suck at pvp and only do enough for milestone completion each week. I never quit though no matter how bad a tonking I am getting. I look to myself as a requirement to improve rather than blame matchmaking to be honest though.
