Shoulder Charge + follow up melee should be a kill

[i]EDIT: Seems that the Resilience level of the opponent determines if one or two follow-up melees are required for the kill. After running several matches with only using shoulder charge and melee (no guns is kind of fun way to play), it can be one or two follow up hits to get the kill. So, to be more general, I think [b]A Charged Melee + Follow-up Melee should ALWAYS be a kill.[/b] [/i] Since shoulder charge requires a charged melee, it should be more powerful. Shoulder charging a full health guardian still requires two follow up melees to kill them. What's the point of the shoulder charge then? It doesn't need to be a one shot kill, but it needs to be more powerful.

      I do melee a lot since D1. Its my main way to kill. In D2 I have more than 3000 melee kills with my Titan. ( Can be checked with Destinystatus.com ) Anyway...I found its harder to do melee kill in D2. And it is not consistent. Sometimes you need 3 hits, sometimes 2, somtimes 4. Surprisingly I loss a lot of melee battle even I land the first hit and both of us in full health. Many times I loss battle fight against Hunters. I land the first Hit..They just need 2 hits to kill me. During the IB...I play all 3 characters. I found...its True...many occasion My Hunter can 2 hits kill a Titan...! D1 is more consistent. Titan always win melee battle against Hunter. Because Titan is melee based class, Hunter is Gun play based class. D2 Destroy the class Identities and no Consistency. It seems if you are in the winning team..you become harder to kill your opponent. And If you are in the losing team..you get easier to kill your opponent. I think Bungie secretly Buff and nerf player to balance the game.

      SC should be OHK but the magnetism to it should be toned down completely. It's like sticky nades, they should be OHK but take away the magnetism. The problem with D2 in particular is they made the game auto connected to most abilities but toned down the damage making abilities with an underwhelming reduced cd. They have it backwards, increase the skill gap by making it harder to use, but a bigger payoff when it hits. Also keep the abilities cd moderate, as in not too hot or cold. It's that simple but they WON'T do this and it's intentional. Because the skill gap needs to be within the casual limits. To appeal to MORE players to open a market for MORE potential customers for MTX.

    • Am I the only one that notices there is a moment after you land a should charge hit that your character automatically faces the wrong way away from your opponent. I feel like after a SC hit I have to readjust my aim to get in the second hit. Is that just me?

      • A shoulder charge should just be a ohk. Just like a throwing knife to the face should be a kill or a tripmine stick should be a kill. You know. Like how it was back in D1. If people cant handle getting killed by something powerful they should just not play destiny’s pvp. They should go play other games built around that style of pvp.

        • It is if u have the dunemarchers. They discharge a shock after impact and does enough for the 2nd melee to k.o.

        • I personally think they should buff heavy ammo respawn for challenges, ect., and then allow for a OHK shoulder charge. It is literally an expensive maneuver to use and pull off.

        • To me SC works very well and good as it is. Using SC takes away a bit of health and then finish off with your gun. As no other class ever had a OHK melee why should the titan have one again? Titan is one of the strongest with his 2 pulse grenades and the SC isn't as weak as people say, as used right it works very fine.

          • I think the shoulder charge should be a 1 hit kill. It just needs to be on a timer like all of the other abilities. You definitely shouldn't be able to spam it like you could in d1.

                • If it costs a melee charge it should be OHK. But yes, at the very least it should take 2/3 of enemy health when it hits to allow for a one melee kill follow up. D1 Stormfist did.

                • I agree. Shoulder charge feels really weak now. It needs a bit of a buff. I don't bother using it anymore, unless it just happens to be charged when I run into someone.

                      If the damage remains the same, then they should remove the need to run and charge the shoulder bash. Meaning you can shoulder bash by pressing the melee button like a regular melee.
