Hackers/cheaters/moders what ever you want to call it!
Big problem,do they care....... doesn't seem so! Bungie is only 1 of the co. that doesn't give a crap. Love Destiny but to try an play pvp is like having a tooth extracted ! I am estimating over 60 to 70% of the players have some kind of mod or hack and for all you out there saying its not hacks or its lag........ well you are most likely the ones hacking! LOL! I have recorded so many people where it so obvious its unbelievable. Bungie/ micosoft/Xbox, what you need to do is let us honest players attach our recorded game play when we report them and you can see it 1rst hand.........no question! then reprimand them. Get caught and suspend them for 30 days, get caught again ban them. I just got a 2 week communication suspension for expressing my feelings to an obvious hacker! LOL! Final note: to all you cheaters, we know when your cheating! and you know who you are! You obviously are either to lazy to learn how to play or frankly just have no skill but you will never learn anything by cheating! And you must be demented if all you want to do is piss people off.

There are few instances occasionally of players not taking damage for instances, that is legit mod/cheating, I've dealt with them with tricky combat styles, it sucks though, but good news it isn't constantly running...catch them off guard is the best help I can give you. Now another more common form of cheating is the exploitation of in game glitches with relationship with server to player communication, they appear to rapidly disappear and reappear/skipping and while disappeared cannot be hit. To clarify a few things various character types can create healing circles, shield domes, damage increasing circles, teleport short distances, disappear(not entirely), suspension in air for several seconds, disappear from radar, place markers on players for whole team to see, and so on so forth. A lot of abilities/buffs could seem to be cheating to players that are unaware of them, this game is a little immersive. Hope this helps to understand a little more, some people have some skill, I get mine handed to me legit too! Good luck all! Also connection is a big deal, Internet speed counts and router signal strength too will interfere. In theory one could disrupt the router to console wireless signal... I'm sure there are ways, call it what you will... malevolent it what it is, I take no part it in it.

1. Netcode is bad so you see rubber bullets, hit from behind cover, and general issues as the server population prevents local matchmaking. 2. Bungie's 50/50 algo ensuring you lose. 3. Bungie's damage referee which intentionally can negate your dps even when you are innocent, just because they matchmake you with people across the world. Bungie #1 Destiny Hacker

Most of these issues are caused by lag. I've encountered tons of stupid stuff. Getting hit behind cover, hits not registering, getting instantly killed by golden gun from an enemy who is not even looking at me when I'm in the air behind him jumping around a corner (at an angle he would have to turn around and look straight up in order to see me) I've still never seen any blatant cheating (at least on ps4)

And seeing as how you're on console, it's must likely even less than that. Just pulled up your captures. You have one where HCR caused you to flinch when you were trying to challenge a mida with an auto rifle at scout rifle ranges, and one where you tried meleeing them when they were outside your melee range. That's it.

Faster than normal movement. Like some kind of auto strafe was enabled. My clan's team couldn't hit this guy for anything, and he would constantly outgun them every engagement. Now I know that strafing back and forth is a skill. Some do it better than others. But I've never seen anything like this.

You do understand there are hundreds of thousands of players, right? Bungie isn’t omnipresent or omniscient to know and catch every cheater at once and it’s not like [i]every[/i] accusation of cheating is true. If you think someone is cheating, report them.

3 RepliesIt's a lag switch and it's available to everyone. They have so many videos showing the effects of these from the users side. A lot of players run these because it's easy to do and free. It does backfire if overused and will either boot you from the lobby or will work in reverse where the enemy players can see you before you see them. Can't beat em, join em Tldr: I do not condone cheating in any way shape or form.
