How long did it take you to realise Destiny 2 is garbage?

1 week after the road was released. Maybe 2 weeks

The beta made me nervous, but I remained hopeful. The PvP sucked in the beta and all the ability recharge rates were so slow... but I was like - well, surely you'll be able to level that stuff up and it'll be like Destiny 1 again... right? After a few weeks, I had finished all the content in D2, so the end-game grind began... and then I realized that I was done with the game. There was nothing for me to do... I haven't really played much since October. I signed in for a few days after CoO, but that's about it.

1 ReplyI got it about a month after release and decided to play to “test the waters” i enjoyed the game for a solid 5 days only playong the “story” and open world (pve) but when i hit crucible. I then realized the game was trash. If i average a 1.3 in every other fps game i have wver played but i log on to D2 and start getting 2.4 as my kd. There is a problem with crucible. I know there is some broken shit i exploited and abused to get that because. Im jist not THAT good. Vanilla destiny wasnt wven this bad

I'm going to say 30 minutes into the DRE. I was going to say 15 minutes, but I decided to be generous. When they didn't come out and immediately address the unified sandbox and lack of optional matchmaking, in-game LFG, and other recruiting tools for Destiny 2, I knew it was trouble. Those issues issues (unified sandbox and lack of matchmaking for all content) were arguably the two BIGGEST issues of Destiny 1. Destiny 2 was being rebooted to "solve BIG issues with Destiny." So how could the reveal NOT make addressing arguably the two biggest issues with the game THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY to address during the reveal? It simply defied logic. I knew if they didn't address the issue within 15-30 minutes, it was because they weren't going to address those issues, which means D2 will suffer from the same stupid issues that D1 suffered from. I.E., watering down of endgame rewards because raids are "too hard" for casuals to complete and "everyone" must have a chance to get the game's best stuff - so endgame rewards must be cosmetic; and the persistent nerfs for the sake of PVP (read: competitive pvp/Trials). The bottom line: they didn't address or discuss D1's biggest problems within the first 15-30 minutes of the game - in a game rebooted to "solve big issues" with Destiny. So yeah, after that, I KNEW D2 was going to be garbage. And I believe all of that occurred before they even revealed the new loadout system.

It's definitely not "garbage", but after 1 month I realised that it's a disappointment. A big one. In fact, one of the biggest in my 20+ years of gaming.

1 ReplyI would say about 2 weeks. I tried to stick with it, but its bad. My wife will occasionally play. She asked me the other day if I would play with her, but I just couldn't. I suggested we watch Netflix instead. Then watched Orange is the new black instead. Jeez, that should tell you what I think of Destiny 2

After the campaign and osiris...i understood how wrong i was about this game, i regret buying it. was not refunded. even after the xp\boxes scandal. bungie never again.

4 RepliesBeta. D1 beta, I played up to the very moment that the beta went offline. D2 beta, I deleted that shit on day 2. 'Two primaries' weapon system is f#cking booooooring. I've never felt like my power was neutered so much while playing a game with "2" in its title.
