How long did it take you to realise Destiny 2 is garbage?

Had the platinum by the third week and that's only due to travel. Haven't touched it since. Games boring as shit and only a shell of what it used to be. Hope they fix it at some point but sure as hell not giving them money to fix their MVP garbage.

Right after the campaign in curse of osiris. I was holding on to hope with the game. But the first dlc killed all my hope. I pray dlc is at least decent

My suspicion was confirmed the first day I bought the game and saw the same character creator as D1, began the same old "skip everything, kill the major at the end to finish the mission" style of gameplay. A few days later, upon realizing that they left pretty much all the good parts of D1 out of D2, the anger settled in. And here I am now, a disgruntled Destiny hater, who for some reason clings to the hope that one day I'll wake up and they'll announce they're firing the entire team and rebuilding, starting now. And rebuilding with a full RPG experience in mind. I guess I never let go of that initial E3 D1 reveal and all that Destiny was supposed to be. At the bare minimum, the game is fun to play. The pointless loot, hollow environments, and boring activities suck balls, but shooting enemies and dorking around with other Guardians is still a fun time. And there's something very easy about queuing into activities with minimal effort. I've always liked that about Destinys strikes and public events. Zone in, and people are there to play with. I wish there was more of that, and in larger, more dynamic worlds. That's the MMO fan in me who enjoys a player driven world..

Nearing light cap. -ish. And after the DLC all tolerance went out the window. Now I just stand here poking Bungie with a stick like "do something silly, lol".

Once I replayed the story for the second time, and realized the honeymoon period was over.

It's not a garbage game imo. I played it for a few weeks, enjoyed it and put it down to play other games. It just isn't a triple A game by far. D1 was made by a professional team trying out something completely new. It had its flaws, yes. But that's to be expected of an experimental game. At least an AA game, if not AAA. D2 on the other hand... they build on the mistakes of D1 and somehow made even more flaws. But it's still a functioning game and gives a solid 5 to 6 hours of main gameplay. That's a decent number... if it were an indie game.

D2 at its core is great! Biggest problem is lack of content. Please add a buttload of weapons and armor More PVE activities and areas More diverse pvp game modes [spoiler]And I dont mean reskins[/spoiler]

Year before launch. I bought it to play with my fiance and sold it 2 weeks later for nearly full price. Love makes you do anything, including co oping a hunk if shite.
