You guys might as well cancel Destiny 3 because we can see the direction you’re going with the franchise and we want NOTHING to do with lootboxes, Eververse, and your shitty monetization schemes.

I guess I got a little miffed thinking of a future without a game like this. D1 was and still is my all time favorite game. Is hate to see it all go away because of one big dumb ass mistake.

I Guess I got a little pissed off thinking a destiny style game will never exist because they made a bad call like this. D1 was and still is my all time favorite game. You might feel triggered if I say this but I think it's for the better...please don't buy any more from Bungie. If you like the game, I understand you might buy it anyways but the reason they're behaving this way is because we keep giving them money. They won't change if we keep feeding them money. I know for sure an expansion is coming 9/18 and I URGE you not to buy it (Or at least don't preorder until we get a full patch note and some reviews about it). Destiny 3 at this point just shouldn't exist because the fanbase is dying, Bungie's true intentions are shown, and odds are...it's going to get worse!

And I've stopped buying from eververse and won't spend another penny until things start changing dramatically. It just not right to put the majority of the content behind a secondary paywall like that

Yup. Until players stop buying from Eververse and stop playing D2 nothing is going to change. Destiny 3 may as well not happen. It will have no chance unless this game gets put back to fun mayhem shooter it was designed to be. Competitive is a nice idea but not at the expense of everything good about Destiny. And monetisation should be optional not the whole drive of the game.

Loot boxes are fine. It's how they are coded that's flawed. They were supposed to be another method to monetise the game further, not become the actual game. There's the difference.

You do realized you explained the exact reason why lootboxes need to be gone. It's a filthy monetization scheme! Man I am so glad Hawaii and other states are taking action to regulate lootboxes cause apparently the gaming industry can't do that.

Edit: Hawaii senator already backed away from banning them into regulating them. He knows how to play the game. Regulating is much better than banning. There's no sense to ban anything just because one entity went too greedy. However, this is the time to teach a lesson to all gaming companies. Lesson is: Don't screw us up, our benevolent gestures as communities, unless you want to experience the fight of your life and lose our trust.

If there is a flaw with a tooth, you're likely to remove that 1 tooth. You're not going to remove the entire mouth if 1 tooth is the flaw. Like Destiny 2, the flaw is the Eververse and it needs to be gone. He never said anything about banning lootboxes, he said he wants them REGULATED! There is a difference between banning and regulating.

Whether he did or not support the ban of gambling thorough loot boxes at first is irrelevant though because currently he wants them regulated and that aligns with my aim. Anyway, the actual point still stands. Regulation is needed, not a ban. Regulation of loot boxes affirms that the developer focus stays where it is supposed to mainly stay and the loot boxes stay as they were meant to stay when they were introduced; further monetisation a.k.a. small monthly or annually reoccuring support payment that players may bestow in favour. Edit: The thing is that the loot box microtransaction service should have never got as big as it did in comparison to the main content in their respective games they reside in. Here are some guidelines for loot box services and general behaviour: 1 ) Never market the Service and their Content anywhere beyond the dedicated Establishment. 2 ) Never locate the Establishment in the center of things at any level in any respective game, site or ad. 3 ) Always include separate in-game sources that provide non-microtransaction content equivalent of everything offered thorough the Service. 4 ) Locked microtransaction related content should not take more than an average of the lifespan of the respective game to unlock no matter what cost or form of payment is involved. 5 ) Locked microtransaction related content should never cost more than an average of the cost of the respective game to unlock no matter how long the gathering or grinding takes. 6 ) Do not extend the lifespan of any game thorough artificial means; e.g. affection of the Services and Establishments are excluded from the measurements. 7 ) Developers must seek a bug free, exploit free and polished state in and around their products at all times. Products of this type gain a label of proven quality after datamining. 8 ) In case the label cannot be given or datamining cannot be performed due denial by the respective developers, they are obligated to perform refunds related to quality issues. 9 ) The Service with its Content began as a humble sidenote and should always have the attribute to be explicitly viewed as one at all times.
