Thought they were supposed to fix this. I still keep getting fighting lion over and over again.

1 ReplyAt least you guys are getting exotics. I haven't had any drop for me in two weeks other the what the vanguards gave me. And I have done at least 30 to 40 strikes and about 50 public events farming those stupid things for the prophecys.

Agreed, I've had like 50% of my exotics be stuff I'd already had. Absolutely ridiculous that I'm already 10 days in and all of my exotics besides 2 I've gotten be Season 1 gear and the other two I've gotten the Mk. 44 Standasides. Like I'm still missing the Cabal Scout Rifle and a heavy majority of Season 2 exotics. I absolutely want a fix besides having to blow my legendary shards on Xur to get exotics I don't already have. That should be a given. Maybe make a max amount of same exotic you have until you've gotten them all.

I got 2 exotic engrams so far this week. Both turned into the chest piece I just bought from Xur. My sodium content right now is dangerously high.

Yep. I've gotten the same pair of exotic arms not once, but four times (Aeon Swift gauntlets). I get it, Bungie wants Hunters and Titans to look like Deus Ex, but aren't there any more exotics that RNG could reward a player with?

1 ReplyHere is a quote from Bungie's blog about this very topic.... "Duplication protection will be added for Exotics in the New Year." It isn't the new year yet bud. They have stated that they are going to address this but very clearly haven't yet. I am not sure I understand why this post exists....

Right now it's a lose/lose situation. Here's why. Their whole system is broke. The drop rate on exotics is too damn high. They upped the drop rate so much some time in year three when they started catering so much to casual players, introduced 3 of coins, and the drop rate has remained high for exotics since. Basically it's too easy to get exotics. If you combine that with them making it so you don't get duplicates then you will have every exotic in less than a week. Then what will you look forward to? Face it the exotic game was best when you saw an exotic engram maybe once or twice a week, maybe from the night fall or a special raid chest or raid drop or just some very, very lucky situation. How long ago was that, year 2?
