I refrained from purchasing anything but the base Destiny 2 game, I wasn’t convinced Bungie was going to nail the sequel so I held off.... and boy am I glad I did.
I have been following this franchise since it was first announced, that amazing Law of the Jungle trailer captured my imagination on such a deep level, my excitement and anticipation for the potential of the Destiny universe was immense.
Destiny did not live up to those expectations but it was a one of a kind experience that created friendships and incredible gaming memories.
During the years that followed the initial release of Destiny, many improvements were made and the potential of Destiny as a platform moving forward was exciting.... and then.... Destiny 2 was announced... the platform of Destiny was being pushed aside to make way for a numbered sequel that would eliminate everything we had all worked towards through the years of Destiny...
Much like Bungie, I have lost my way with this post.... it started with great potential to be a quality post... but has devolved into a sad disappointment.

7 RepliesI was promised online space Skyrim like 7 years ago and 2 games later I'm still -blam!-ing waiting.

1 ReplyIt's not that bad c'mon. It's a great universe with deep lore. I think we should all just calm down and realize that this game just needs help and we should all try to stay positive for the sake of Destiny's future and the community. Yeah this game has issues, but look at Battlefront 2. Thank God were not dealing with a stubborn greedy company like EA. Devs make mistakes. Just take a break and maybe give Destiny a break for a bit.

2 RepliesThis is Bungie.

3 RepliesFortnite is 10x more fun and it's free!

5 RepliesI put 5000 hours into d1 starting from the taken king. I loved Destiny. But this game does not have the same spark. It's potential is gone. It just took a while for it to truly sink in. Feelsbadman

Terrorclash: The example of when to up the Prozac and get a life. Good read

5 RepliesEdited by Rapscallion: 12/6/2017 3:14:45 AMD1 had the potential to create a new genre in the fps world. However as time went on, in each DLC since TTK, it was clear bungie failed to capitalize on this opportunity. There's nothing wrong with a game that is hard, and requires a grind. Destiny was a game that encouraged progression, legendaries were better than blues, exotics were better than purples, and you had to play the game more to unlock better gear. Endgame gear was better than the rest. If you wanted to shine, you had to put more time into the game. They abandoned that philosophy and here we are. Join a clan and you get everything. Since everything is so easy to get, nothing stands out.

5 RepliesEven after being trapped in the Infinite Forest for years, Osiris, finally being released, job well done. Osiris takes one hard look at the state of things, and walks right back into Infinite Hell. Lol.

1 ReplyBungie did nail the game. What yo talkin about.
-
Destiny has the potential to be the next WoW, too bad it's run by idiots.
-
14 RepliesYou have to see it from Bungie’s view as well. They’re trying to make this game accessible to everyone, all ages, genders, casuals, hardcore players, pc players, etc. That being said, it’s obvious one of these groups was going to dissatisfied the most.

2 RepliesEasy fix. Play Warframe, it's better! Oh, and did I mention free?
-
Warframe is so much better!

12 RepliesDestiny is like being in a bad relationship. You know you should walk away from it. But you just can't do it.

Yep. The infinite forest in particular reminds me of No Mans Sky. It’s a good concept that’s really poorly executed. If they had done a Warframe thing with tiles that would have been much better.
-
Title is so accurate. Would love to see what another gaming studio could do with this concept.

So sad 😞

What "limitless potential"? It's a video game.

Agreed , destiny had the unlimited potential of the human imagination this game could have been bigger than starwars , but bungie got lazy and Activision got greedy .......just about sums up humanity of 2017
