Let's get this up there so Bungie will see it at the top!

remove timer on Normal Nightfall, Leave the new modifiers, add Nightfall modifier I fixed it for you Bungie People will still complain about the Nightfall modifier being too difficult, but most would rather be punished for dying than taking too long

16 RepliesBeen playing games since many of you weren't even a twinkle in your daddy's eyes. Timers suck. Cheap, lazy, frustrating way to make something harder. This game is a just a shell of its former self and failing fast. Adding in a timer just means I have no plans to even try. It's not enjoyable, I don't like rushing through. I like clearing areas and moving forward. That's why I play. To escape for while. To experience the game and levels. Not sprint through it.

Two things i hate most in video games. Escort missions and timed missions. Get rid!
-
I think the timers are a fun modifier, but not the standard. The “sit back and snipe everything down” issue has been addressed by many other aspects of the game design, so I don’t feel that pushing everyone forward at a break neck pace is necessary. I think that bringing back going to orbit after a team wipe would be great.
-
Too bad they don't care for polls.

I got about 10 min into a nightfall and quit because it wasn’t fun. I miss the burns and using cover to survive and playing smart. Not just hurry hurry hurry spam everything you have don’t die run run run oh god we’re running out of time no no wait no. . . Screw that.

The timer should be a modifier. Not every single nightfall.

Bungie fix your game. You release only 20% of your game. its still beta shit. Glitchs every where. timers. A app/website that dont work. Greating a new clan that dont work. This a -blam!-ing lol what a joke shame on you noob game

Timers should be more of a hard mode thing..
-
Nightfall i don't mind. Team wipe timers are fkin dumb though. Lets punish everyone yay! No one will get toxic surely! Honestly these timers have made my LIMITED social experience absolutely horrible. 9/10 teams in the raid have flipped into complete cancerous sqeeling ragers. Bungie your taken king team are awesome. The rest are garbage.
-
Timed nightfalls aren't fun. Hopefully Bungie changes them somehow in the near future. But don't hold your breath...
-
But...but... we've got it all wrong! It's all about making friends - timers aren't there to make things hard, it's just the destiny equivalent of speed-dating!

Pull your heads out bungie...the numbers speak loudly

1 ReplyShould of made a poll on how many fuq will be given by the company. Put zero in the middle so it can be a penis poll.

1 ReplyA timer is completely counterintuitive to what this game is: a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. Forcing us to complete this endgame activity within a set period of time only pushes us - your community - to either find ways to cheese it, or to rush past enemy encounters instead of playing this game as a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER. I would really love to enjoy the FIRST PERSON SHOOTER mechanics that you designed, Bungie, but instead I am just speedrunning a strike because there is a stupid timer in the corner that will boot me back to orbit in 10 mins reducing my standard approach of "well team, let's formulate a plan of attack" to a simple "RUN!" maneuver. But don't worry: I am wrong. Datto, who loves you Bungie, already praised you for that timer repeatedly, so don't listen to me or anyone else in the massive collective of D2 players that despise your timer, just listen to the one or two streamers that love it, and then have to post follow up response vids defending their opinion. That is the better approach, definitely.

But...but... Bumpity boo..

1 ReplyEdited by UnixSkunk: 10/6/2017 8:38:26 PMI like them...occasionally. Not every single week. I dont want to be penalized for having to answer a phone or deal with an emergency 3/4 of the way through an event.
-
1 ReplyI'm not a regular 'End-gamer' but I started doing some of them towards the end of D2. I won't touch them if they keep the timers.
-
I don't care.
-
Rushing through a nightfall is personally the opposite of fun.
-
make them harder with no timer, hate having timed things in games.
-
2 RepliesI'm think the nightfall should have a timer or a return to orbit on wipe but only one of them. Nightfalls are expose to be challenging.
-
Honestly, my favorite nightfall format is the very original one from destiny 1. If everyone goes down, then the strike is reset! With the time limit, all you're worrying about is that time limit. You're just blazing passed all the places that you don't need to complete and they're just...boring. I don't think they're even that hard either. The hardest nightfall I've done was for the rat king. Other than that I haven't worried. In OG destiny, you have to be careful and know that each moment could be your last and it all feels so tense and exciting! After all it is the Nightfall! It's supposed to be hard and it's supposed to be rewarding. Speaking of which, the like four tokens it gives after a strike and even nightfall is pretty depressing. Maybe rewards couuld be made better, at least nightfall rewards.

2 RepliesOne challenging activity and people complain about it.... literally the only thing that makes it hard and people want it removed
-
I think the timers are just artificial difficulty akin to the OG nightfall "kick to orbit" gimmick, but if you know what parts you actually have to fight enemies and what parts you can skip, the timer isn't even an issue.
