What the hell is it with your imperial system and rotating plates on Gauntlet.
The way I've done it is fixed plates.
2 teams.
T1 Dog and Sun, T2 Cup and Axes.
I'll explain Dog and Sun, Cup and Axes are the same.
Runner starts at Dog, calls dog middle, guy on dog shoots top, guy on sun turns to dog and shoots bottom.
Guy on dog jumps down punches Psion, runs back to platform (dont jump on) turns to Sun.
Runner calls sun middle, guy on dog shoots top on sun and guy on sun shoots bottom.
Guy on sun jumps down punches Psion ( during this time the guy on dog is on his platform waiting ) next runner calls dog middle, guy on dog shoots top.
As sun is running back to his platform, he turns and shoots dog bottom.
Rinse and repeat.
So lets brake it down to individual responsibility.
Runner calls, you shoot you triangle, jump down and punch Psion, run back to plate, turn and shoot at your partners triangle jump back on your plate.
Rinse repeat.
-blam!-en so simple, so easy.
But No no no.
Lets mute 3 players, wtf?
Get the runner to call dog even when he's at cup or axes, wtf?
All players rotate from plate to plate with your runner hahaha, why? We have bodies that turn and guns that shoot.
How the hell is this easier?
Why?
Why do people make such an easy thing so complicated?
(Note: this isn't an attack on Americans so don't quote your patriot act and transgender hate crimes at me, its a general observation, all the people that i have played with that want to rotate have been from the US, all you rotating bastards suck.
To be fair the some of the best raids i have had are with guys and gals from the US so dont get salty, stop rotating.
Its also been brought to my attention many Americans don't rotate and other people from around the world do. Its spreading.)

Non Americans wtf. They just dont get it they suck and are lesser people because there not American. Kinda like a dog really now how does that feel douchbag dont lump a billion people together from your experience with 5 people its really stupid and close minded

1 ReplyYou might be a slow runner if you know what I mean
-
Best solution: Don't do raid. Just collect your Clan Rewards for free every week and you'll be 305 in a month.

1 ReplyWow. Amazing stereotyping here OP. Why don’t you go drink some tea, eat some crumpets and look into getting your screwed up teeth taken care off (see, I can stereotype too)

2 RepliesEdited by Madman Asunder: 10/3/2017 12:26:11 AMI like rotating the entire team together because you listen for the same voice. It has a more natural rhythm then the other option for me personally. That said I can do it either way. I just think its almost stress-relieving to get your group rotating... like literally. I find the encounter relaxing. Also, with two units of 3, you almost turn it into a race. I find this element of the encounter fun. muting people is weird. never seen that. Last edit: the times I do it without rotation have 90% higher f up rates. don't know why. just happens that way.

1 ReplyEdited by Madman Asunder: 10/3/2017 1:27:28 AMokay. one more reply. mainly because I am starting to find this fascinating. I am going to relate this to drawing shapes because this is clearly a "how your mind works" type of question. I think people that prefer to rotate can relate to the relationship I'm going to draw. Rotating is like drawing a circle Not rotating is like drawing a zig zag I think people that like rotation are looking for flow and rhythm that feels natural and moves in one direction. People that like not rotating are probably minds that generally like the most optimized way to solve a problem (yes, despite being a rotate newb, I want to emphasize benefits to both and that both work well for different people)
-
2 RepliesBoth systems can work. And tbh I'd probably get used to switching plates because that might be what challenge mode is.
-
Have never rotated. It only adds more ways to screw up.
-
8 RepliesWow, I've literally never heard of the follow strat, and that sounds like there's way too many things that can go wrong. I have heard of people alternating who picks up orbs throughout the final run, and while that will probably be useful in Prestige, it just tends to add confusion for who's picking up when.
-
2 RepliesI haven't rotated yet, however I can see that it gives you chance to pick up orbs dropped during the adds phases.
-
Would you like to buy some propane or propane accessories ?

2 RepliesEdited by TheTommieC: 10/3/2017 12:49:26 AMI'm going to blame Oryx for the "rotating" nonsense. Thanks a lot Oryx, ya goofy "Taken King."
And maybe Crota, son of a "Crotating" king..
-
8 RepliesEdited by Jvp WReNCh: 10/3/2017 12:23:50 AMIt's because of streamers. A bunch of people watched some streamer team develop the rotating plates idea on a blind run, so they do what they saw because they don't understand the mechanics of the encounter.
-
3 RepliesTeams of three that run around the entire circle is the easiest way, and you would realize this if you did it
-
Having run both, they are both equally easy to run. Just group preference.
-
8 RepliesI'm from the u.s. and I never understood why people do the rotation thing, there is literally no upside to using that strat. Just more chances for mistakes and it's not easier.
-
British have a hard time with this part..
-
2 RepliesI'll say it even though you have the edit. Rotating is so stupid, I've literally never done it that way because if someone wants too I say no.
Im American
-
9 RepliesCan't adapt to a different strategy that's not at all difficult? Different strokes for different folks.
-
10 RepliesI've done it both ways. It sounds like you just can't adapt to different teams strategies. Also, I'm an American. That "no offense" shit doesn't make you sound less prejudice. If you don't mean it edit you're post so you don't sound like an ignorant twat
-
I tried explaining the still method but i had some members that NEVER LOOKED BACK TO THEIR INITIAL ONE! SOMEHOW, as if by magic, having plate dudes FOLLOW their runner was less confusing than; "Stand, shoot, punch, look right, shoot, repeat." Maybe those who think complicated things should stay complicated should just stick to their simple selves.
Banan
2 RepliesStill salty u lost the war ehh
-
1 ReplyLol, we had someone who wanted to rotate in our group. (we're all American) We vetoed him. Whatever works for you I guess...
-
1 Reply
What the hell is it with your imperial system and rotating plates on Gauntlet.
My team runs together, meaning we do the opposite of you and it works amazingly well. The only difference is that the shooters (all 4) ONLY mute ONE person, the opposite runner. This means all shooters are in communication always. There is more than enough time to unmute ONE person when we run into the pineapple room. Only having to listen to one person is easy and every noob I've taken through has complained about trying the method you use in other raids and failing. The method of running together as a team is very easy and are you honestly complaining about having to imaginary run in a video game? Do what works for your team but there no need to be a nasty pr*ck just because everyone doesn't do it your way. If I join another team then I expect to do their strat but if they are joining mine, we do mine.
-
1 ReplySo... I don't know what kind of Americans you've been playing with. I just stick to the norm. And I KNOW half of the players I've played with in the Leviathan were American.
-
You're right, Americans are the only ones that use the rotate strat. /s
