1. Time to Kill
Time to kill has been nothing but increased for Destiny, on average the time to kill has jumped roughly half a second (.7-ish seconds from D1 to 1-ish second for D2). The jump has several downfalls:
Teamshotting
It's horrible common and powerful now. Where I could have a tossup engagement in D1 (trade or double kill) now becomes an almost guaranteed defeat because the two people engaging me have such a faster time to kill (cutting it roughly in half, D1 has .4-ish second teamshot TTK compared to the .75-ish TTK per person. While D2 features .6-ish seconds compared to my 1-ish per person, case in point I can get 1 guy or both more of the time depending on random factors).
Reduced Speed on duels
An average duel in D1 should last around a second (comparing to CoD where you can generally kill most of an enemy team in a single second for those who want to try to argue CoD with me). Destiny 2 is almost twice as slow felling due to the almost double time to kill. This makes gunfights feel excessively long, making duels far more boring and slow, also adding to the huge potential for a last second teamshot, which potentially screws you out of your deserved kill.
Timers
One thing I've noticed about every (Quickplay) game is that they almost always seem to go to timer, making the TTK faster could make less games go to timer, I don't know 100 percent about that.
The time to kill needs to go back to Destiny 1 because it's overall healthier and more exciting to watch and play.
2. Matchmaking
Just stop matching me against parties of 4 unless I'm teamed with a party of 3. That alone would help, also local biased matching because this game is still Peer to Peer (for some ungodly reason).
3. Class Balance
Weapon balance is nearly perfect, I wouldn't change much outside of an SMG and Suros (see; full auto) Sidearm buff. But classes, oh man where to start?
Hunters
They need help badly, hunters quite frankly suck right now, here's how I'd change them:
Dodge:
Increase range, grant 2 charges, and maybe make the effects occur for teammates near you.
Gunslinger
Six Shooter: Increase the time you have while using it, I honestly dont get why it isn't the default amount of time.
Golden Gun in general: Increase PvP damage against non-solar armored targets.
Nightstalker
Smoke: Increased duration and slightly increased damage.
Invisibility: Make it slightly harder to see.
Quiver (or whatever they've renamed it to): Increase the PvP damage to one shot a target without damage resistance (probably 215 damage is safe), massively increase the time we have to shoot our 5 arrows and maybe allow is to hold the buttons to nock multiple arrows at once.
Shadowshot in general: increased anchor duration slightly, reduced lateral flinch taken in PvP when anchored, increased duration of stun to compensate, weapons now deal slightly reduced damage while anchored (probably a 5% reduction for PvP, nothing massive, something greater for PvE)
Arcstrider:
Enhanced roll now gives a few invincibility frames while using it (middle of the animation) 10% damage reduction where there aren't invincibility frames.
Arc Staff: Increased Speed to be on par or faster than a Striker mid FoH, increased damage per swipe and damage resistance while in super.
Warlocks:
Dawnblade:
Able to shoot weapons while glide is active Perk: Decreased midair accuracy penalty of all weapons while this perk is active.
Super: Increased damage, fire rate, and duration across both PvE and PvP
That's all he wrote for now.

3 RepliesEdited by C1B3D: 10/2/2017 8:01:08 PMIt seems Bungie played only 2 games before they designed Destiny 2. Halo and Destiny 1. A fast time to kill is the standard in most skill based FPS games. Quake 3 Arena the game with the highest skill cap ever made, could keep you alive vs 8 players. You could fight 8 players, 1vs8 and destroy them all in seconds, where your own HP would not even drop under 50%. Even World of Warcraft pre BC, had a fast time to kill in PvP, you could fight 3 players easy and play like a predator around them. Destiny 2 PvP have the lowest skill cap i ever saw in a PvP game. Every PvP game on the market is better than this abomination of PvP, calling it skill would be even a crime! I would throw my Destiny 2 disc away, for a copy of Destiny 1 release version PvP any day, no matter how bad the gun balance was, it was fun to play and rewarding. Nothing beats that feeling after you got Pocket Infinity, upgraded (upgrading weapons with materials, i miss that so much) it full to max, and charged that beast for the first time in PvP, just to see how you killed 5 people with 1 charge, that was the best thing i loved about Destiny 1 PvP. Fun, it was a collection of unique fun moments. Destiny is not esport and would never be, get real Bungie. Ask Blizzard, they could tell you a story, how they ruined best online game ever made, by pushing it in the esport scene. They ruined the best aspect of the game, PvE, because of PvP that only 10% played. You making the same mistake, instead creating a fun game for PvE and PvP, you making every aspect of it frustrating, not fun to play, just to create some illusion of esport, that is just stupid. Item based games would never work for esport. You need to decide, you want a great and fun game to play, in both PvE and PvP, or a broken game without good PvE or PvP!

PvP in this game is shit. I'll take one shot nades, sniper ammo out the ass and class cheeses any day. Then again, class cheeses never left. But yes, D2 is boring and slow, the TTK is higher than me when I hit the tree's like Sonny Bono. Auto rifles with HCR, MIDA and a few Submachineguns are all I see. I'm going back to D1 where I can actually have fun, I'm just pissed off I bought the game and gave Bungie more money to ruin the game I love with D3.

Actually, if you truly want PVP to be better, if they truly want to make PVP better, the absolute best thing to do... It's just remove it entirely. PVP is side content in Destiny. It is insignificant when compared to the main content, which is all PBE. The best way to make the entire game better it should just remove all PVP elements. They don't add any value to the game. It's just side content to entertain you once you finished all of your milestones.

I can't believe people think this pvp sucks. The crucible is better than it's ever been in my opinion.

"Titans can go slit their wrists in a corner."
-
I think the classes are pretty balanced now. Only think that needs a buff (or a team support alternative) is nightstalker.
-
1 ReplyIt's a no from me. Arc strider and GG are built for pvp. I'd suggest you just git Gus m80.
-
One smoke grenades shouldn't do damage, they're smoke! Two arcstriders have the most broken hit detection. I do agree that PvP MM is horrible broken. Lightening grenades do need a slight buff. All sticky grenades do too.

3 RepliesEdited by dakaruch: 10/2/2017 9:40:18 AMYes. Let's give hunters massive buffs because people can't play their supers effectively. Explain how GG needs a damage buff in PVP when it's a OHK super. I have an even better tweak to the class. Stop super timer decreasing until you've shot all your shots with six shooter, since having your super energy running out is only good for warlocks or titans. Better make invisibility truly invisible so that hunters can go back to running invisible and backstab everyone. Might aswell let them throw their weapons away as they're only adding weight and being useless. Increasing the super timer again for shadowshot... why? Again better just stop the super timer at all and let you unload as many shots as possible. I agree the damage needs to be higher so you can OHK someone getting hit directly. Arcstrider... while it could use some buffs, hunters need to use it properly instead of thinking it's a D1 bladedancer button smasher, flying everywhere with no -blam!-s given, nearly impossible to kill retarded mode super. If you run at a team with your super activated in an open area, you'll get teamshot and die looking like an idiot. Double that for anyone running in a straight line. This happens to anyone in a super though, not just hunters. Palpatine warlocks die like idiots too when gliding straight at you in open areas. FOH titans running at you die like idiots when in open areas. This doesn't need fixing. At all. You just need to understand you're no longer godlike when you use your super. You can die. And will die if you're dumb and run straight towards an enemy team. Super activation needs some thinking and timing to be really effective, unlike it was during D1. That might have been one of the very few changes for the better compared to D1.

Dawnblade doesn't need a damage buff I get one tapped out of my super by it
-
You have summoned yourself. Jk
-
4 RepliesNope its much much better compared to D1
-
You should also mention the horrific spawning. I keep encountering the following situations: Spawning right in between enemies to get team shot before you can move While in a firefight enemies spawn conveniently right behind the other team After a heavy fight around power ammo the defeated team spawns directly near the other power ammo drop
-
Make it separate game from pve. Let the people who ruined destiny play by themselves.
-
Yea this game sucks
-
1 ReplyI've come to accept the crucible as a steaming turd. I don't even care about my stats anymore because they can't accurately show skill when you are constantly against full clans while solo playing.
-
I definitely agree with the TTK thing. Making D2 more fast-pace I think would improve the game.
-
Cbf reading this but im just gonna agree because the title says pvp is trash.
-
3 RepliesThere's only one way to make d2 better... you don't play it!
-
Very well said a lot of valid points, i hope they see and hear what their community is saying. I literally raged quit with 2 other friends the other day during crucible in D2 to go back and play destiny 1 crucible because how much better it is.
-
Edited by SHEZAKILLA007: 10/3/2017 1:59:53 AMBetter hit detection for arcstrider and sentinels.
-
6 RepliesStep 1: delete current crucible and maps Step 2: replace with house of wolves crucible and maps Crucible is suddenly good again
-
6 RepliesYou know what’s dumb? TTK is so damn slow that I’m literally finding myself bobbing and weaving all over the place with folks during gun fights. It looks fahking ridiculous. Feels stupid too.
-
TTK is fine... we just need more space magic. Our abilities should be charging twice as fast and you should get 2-4 supers per game. Add 6v6 Add RNG weapons Rehaul mods DONE
