Doing something the intended way is hardly an exploit. It shouldn't matter when you hit the anomalies if you hit them. It's called strategizing. If you have to do everything one way, this game will get boring, quick. I'll admit that the post seems kind of whiny, but he brings up a good point, time cap is stupid. Edit: didn't realize OP was referring to an actual exploit. My mistake. Shame on OP.

Yeah no you don't hit the maximum time without doing the exploit. The part where you have to kill the servitors and defend that one area in the nightfall this week you can do an exploit to have the anomaly constantly respawn by going back and forth between areas after clearing it. The only way to hit the maximum number is by doing this exploit and is why the OP said they only had 8 minutes to REACH and then kill the boss. I know because I tried the exploit and ran into the same issue and if you just run the strike normally the timer is not an issue at all. So yeah it was absolutely the OP trying to abuse the exploit

Not true. We purposefully hit every anomaly in the strike (no cheese), when we got to the dark room before the boss fight, we hit two and capped out. There were still 5 or 6 left when we hit max time.

If you hit every anomaly like you said you wouldn't be at 8 minutes to reach the boss and kill it as you stated in your OP. I tried the exploit, I had already beaten it, and when it capped out guess what? We had 8 minutes to reach the boss and kill it. If you hit every anomaly like you claim including 2 in that room RIGHT before the boss you should have easily been at 12-13 minutes before entering the boss fight.

I've done the nightfall a lot this week (helping clan members out). One run we just experimented with it, finding and shooting every single anomaly, that's how we found out that the time extensions hit a cap before you hit all the anomalies, and this is without doing any exploits. I don't remember what the final time was by the time we got to the boss as we weren't in there to finish it that run, just to find every single anomaly, including the hidden ones.

Pretty sure in the modifier description it says "increase the time available to a limit" as in maximum time.

Oh yeah I'm not saying that isn't the modifier, I'm saying it shouldn't be, in agreement with OP. And it's not an exploit to try and get them all at once whether there is a limit or not.

no but he was trying to farm the things to extend the time, which can be done a couple of different ways, one is stay iin the dark room where they spawn every few seconds or but zoning out and going back to areas you already cleared which is exploiting the mechanics, and bungie made it so you can't do that, and he was crying about the fact he couldn't exploit it. hitting all the time extenders in the strike is not a problem, but staying in 1 area to farm them is totally different and i'm happy bungie prevented that.
