Servers go online simultaneously, so if you have a disc version, it doesn't matter where in the world you are as long as you have the disc already in hand, you can jump online.
If you buy the digital version, you have to wait until midnight in your time zone to wait for it to unlock, in which case yes people around NZ/Aus will have it unlocked much sooner than EU/US and rest.

While that's partially true, as soon as Pacific US gets it all US gets it simultaneously. So where I live I won't have to wait til 12 my time just 10 PM

Playstation says other wise. "9pm Sept 5th" for the West Coast. As soon as the American servers are on all of America can play. So I'll be able to play at 10 pm my time, and twelve pm Pacific time

Well gamestop isn't giving physical copies until 12 and digital copies aren't releasing till 12 so

I can play it at 10pm mountain time. It's available at 12am pst across North America. Australia has had it for two hours already I believe.

I live on the east coast and it unlocks at 12:00 AM. It it now 5:09 PM and the counter says I have 6 hours 50 minutes and 21 seconds. That tells me it is a 9:00 PM PST release.

??? People are already playing in America, with time zone changing. And it's like what, 7pm in Europe and they're playing because they're regions servers are online. If you preloaded the game all you need is the servers to be online. If you bought a disc and won't get it til 12 PM that sucks cuz you won't be able to play until 12. If you already have a disk, or have preloaded it online you can play as soon A). Bungies servers are up in your area (I.e. 9 PM west coast) and as soon as you have access to your copy of the game, be it digital or disk.

No. They can play it because they managed to get their hands on a physical copy and they have their region set to a place that already has their servers up. ie new Zealand.

They have physical copies delivered early by the destiny fairies . If you have discs you could get on when the NZ release happened .

Actually its a midnight release going on eastern time. 12:00 am eastern. So like 9 or 10 pm west coast.
