The MIDA multi-tool compass finally explained
The compass on the Halo CE assault rifle always points to the planet that the Halo ring is orbiting. I think the MIDaS always points to the traveler.
Or not, but hey it's a clue.
edit: spelling, and could be north, but bungie put the compass on the Halo AR. I think it's kind of an easter egg
