Just the way it looks and sounds is amazing.
Let's not forget it can switch elements too.
Obligatory trending edit. Also, some people see mo be thinking I say this purely because it switched elements but that not entirely why. Changing the element also changed the stats of the weapon.

3 RepliesIt was the real Crota's End Fusion Rifle. Light in the Abyss is pure garbage.
-
1 ReplyNo just infusable
-
Then it would have been another Exotic left behind....
-
Why does everything unique have to take up an Exotic slot? Chill, man
-
I wish it was Infusable. That's my favorite fusion rifle besides Susanoo.
-
While I agree with most of your points, the gun was overall ok despite it being able to switch elements. The stats, regardless of the element was ok. There are far better fusion rifles that surpass it. Sounds pretty though.
-
1 ReplyI also think they should've made a grimoire card for it like they did with Vestian Dynasty.

Yeah, especially if it was also given a void mode. Though, Susanoo is a pretty similar replacement and Necro has almost the same model.
-
I feel like there should have been more legendary weapons of similar ability (not saying there should be more weapons that change elements, that not all of the cool stuff should be locked behind exotic status)
-
Underused amazing perk
-
Secoise entienne mais pois de morte. Endelieu pour de boisette damballa.
-
No because it doesn't have a patch on plan c the vex or omfg pocket infinity ftw.
-
4 RepliesYes was a strange one, it certainly is "exotic" (only weapon in the game that has duel selectable damage types) maybe they thought it would be more used as a Legendary oppose to using the exotic slot ?
-
big no! you can equip only 1 exotic at the time...
-
Murmur was/is excellent, it sounds great too. I kept one and still use it now and again. I've always thought the trophy or landmark weapons should all be exotics. Khvostov got the upgrade, Young Wolf's Howl went one better than Dreadfang, Boolean Gemini was bland but golden. Murmur and Vestian Dynasty were crying out to be exotics.
-
1 ReplyNo. However when this gun was acquired. I was excited to see what other unique guns would be found.... nothing as unique as that weapon.
-
I too was disappointed it never carried over. I do agree that I would have chosen other exotics over it and loved that it was a legendary. While not perfect for every situation, in the earlier days, my favorite and most used loadout was: Hard Light Murmur or Black Hammer Croata's Hunger
-
3 RepliesI've often wondered why it was the only weapon to have switchable elements. What was the experiment Bungie ran with that weapon that failed so miserably that we never saw another weapon like it again?
-
4 RepliesMan I loved Murmur, I think it was so underappreciated! The fact it could change burns should definitely of been considered as an exotic perk, that being said I may not of used it as much if it would of taken up my only exotic slot! I used to wreck with it in crucible too! Bring back the MURMUR!!!
-
I really loved murmur. I wishb they had brought it back somehow.
-
Congratulations! You probably fed some ideas to D2 marketing. Another Hive reskin DLC preorder bonus confirmed.
-
It feels like it should be exotic, but I don't know how much use it would get if it were to become one.
-
I still have it one of the unique weapons for sure
-
And it's extremely powerful; don't even get me started on WoL...
-
16 RepliesIt's perk is quite unique. And the gun itself it's pretty good. It would make justice to the weapon. However, would you prefer this weapon over a khovostov? Or a Queenbreaker's? I know I wouldn't, even if I was very fond of this weapon when I first got it.
