Going back to D1 PVP is painful!!
Stickies, ice breaker and sidearms.
D2 PVP was a way better experience.
Joined one game in progress on D1 PVP and got super killed 5 times in a row, 5 storm callers spamming abilities.
8 games of clash gave me 19 (yes 19 ) primary kills and we won most of them.
Roll on D2.
Edit: Game mode Clash not mayhem clash.

All I can say is when your in a 1v1 and they'd rather use their super! D1 is such a state compared to year one.

13 RepliesI fully agree. I played some D1 crucible and had the same experience. If you figure each person can get 2 supers thats 12 per team and 24 total in one match! And that is not counting all the shotgun / Ice breaker / Fusion rifle and sticky grenade deaths I had. D2 crucible is going to be a breath of fresh air. For those wishing the beta was more like the D1 crucible you're insane.

8 RepliesI 100% agree! The skill gap in destiny 1 is close because abilities spamming allow you to make up for mistakes. In D2 you get punished hard for missing shots and mis-throwing grenades. It takes more strategy and skill than the first. D2 pvp is different for sure but different is not always bad!

Now they have to try and aim a weapon again and their PTSD from being a staff captain is kicking in.

I love Destiny's 2 PvP slow pace and strategically, just like Halo and Rainbow which I love. If I want fast pace I'll play Titanfall 2 where majority of the game is balanced

Key difference between D1and D2 - i actually understand what happening in D2. 80% of the time i feel like a die or dont earn kill in D1 beacause of lag or ks. The ability spam doesnt make me feel "powerful," it makes me confused because of all the explosions going on. I love destiny, and i love games where i can comprehend whats happening and not feel like im being ksed. D2 is that perfect mix

27 RepliesPeople don't like your post are the pop try hard use to easy super kills or stick and run and sitting in the back with an icebreaker not worrying about special ammo or relying on their god roll pally or easyluna. Now people actually have to be smart about their engagements in d2. Their brains can't handle the work load.

Tried to go back to D1 PvP but couldn't because it was so bad. Within the first minuets I had lag and ability spams from both teams. The feed was nothing but abilities and special weapons. Bungie made the right choice in two primaries and reduced ability cool down.

I feel your agony! This game has never felt as unbearable as it is right now! Ability spam, unbalanced weapons, 6v6 chaos all serve to remind me how much more enjoyable the D2 experience boasted. I look anxiously toward September.

Lmao, after one match back on d1 I deleted the game from my PS4. Didn't realize how terrible it was until I played the beta and had fun again.

Yeah, I really liked the PvP in the Beta. I really think all the players complaining just didn't do well because they are so used to having their super and abilities do all the work for them and are angry they're not getting their easy kills. So of course they blame Bungie and bad game design instead of realizing they are not talented at gun play.

A few days ago after playing crucible in the D2 beta. I played a game of zone control in D1, after a match of getting killed by 10 fusion grenades and the rest from special weapons, I very much miss D2 crucible now.

But people whine b/c they cant sticky kill or sit back and snipe from the back of the map with the Ice Breaker yet everyone else is the casuals? How much skill does it really take to super kill, sticky kill, exc exc...Sounds to me like the biggest whiners are the real casuals. I'm an Avg player at best I never claimed that PVP was my strong suit in the game b/c its not but I often finish in the top 1-2 on my team when in D1 because I am able to get so many kills based off supers and ability's. The D1 meta is gimmicky and chaotic at best. Yes it is much faster paced but D2 will make you play smarter and they do this by slowing everything down and its not a bad thing at all. I know I will definitely not miss being team shot ALL THE TIME in D1 its unbelievable how only adding 2 more people on a team effects this as compared to the beta where I was team shot but not nearly as often. I will not miss the IB sniping warriors, I will not miss the shotgun sliders, I will not miss the sticky deaths, I will not miss the D1 crucible. Cannot wait for D2 and all the newness and freshness it brings us. PS: For all the whiners you are the same ones who would complain that bungie did not change anything in the game if they had not made such a big change to the crucible. You will whine if they do you will whine if they dont..whine whine whine whine whine.

I realized now Destiny 1 is a luck based shooter. Control takes very little skill.

I played some D1 PvP after the beta and had a good time with mida, shotgun and stormtrance. D2 PvP was OK but from what I've played I prefer D1.
