Before i begin, please only request an invite if you have read and understood all of my post - this is a clan for guardians NOT wanting to chat over the headset and not comfortable with this form of mic chatting. It will be a waste of both my time and your own if you simply assume we are a clan who will be prepared to break the vocal silence, and also if all you are seeking is high numbers and any Guardian who can handle themselves in game. There is a depth to our slowly bonding clan, and i won't sacrifice the core of the clan for the sake of extra team members. I also will not accept, or respond to anyone who can not take a minute or two to introduce themselves in accordance with my questionnaire. My clan is a work in progress but is gradually becoming a home to Guardians who appreciate and understand the silent environment i embrace passionately. [u][b]Who we are[/b][/u] Silent Guardians 2016 was initially formed to help low level guardians and newcomers take the fight to the enemy, avoiding in the process the distraction of raised voices and disruptive chatter. In it's present form my clan is reaching out to any guardian who, like myself, is cursed with a physical and emotional discomfort and anxiety if having to interact with strangers (and in this scenario, over the microphone.) UK based, and solely Xbox 1, my clan, which includes my wife, is small in numbers yet strong of heart. Within the clan is a gradually forming and bonding family of very few at the moment, but those of us within this "family" are active in the game more than others. The more active amongst newcomers to our clan will likely find a home within this small sub division of our clan but are most likely going to be in the UK . Due to differing timezones and personal lifestyles, Silent Guardians currently scout the planets as almost individual entities, removing hostiles wherever we find them, whether they be in pve missions, strikes, casual nightfalls, crucible, and even Prison of Elders. You are very welcome to share the journey if we share the same goals. (NOTE: If you are a raider then sadly this for me takes me too far out of my comfort zone. It will take time and patience for me to attain trust and a comfortable level of communication to gradually bond as a united team who could then consider a casual, friendly raid experience. And in all honesty, the short attempts at the Vault of Glass raid on easy mode the most active in our clan have attempted has all been done silently, incorporating messaging on the clan wall. For us it works fine because we are patient with one another and wish to enjoy the experience, and learn from it) [u] [b]Interested?.......oh yes - communication[/b][/u] So, you have reloaded your weapons, charged your grenades and supers, and are ready to fight side by side with likeminded guardians. However, you don't want the pressure of talking. Not a problem. We can communicate by message for as long as you want to. This is mainly via the Bungie Clan Wall where there can be general conversation as well as Destiny related discussions and requests for assistance. The Bungie Personal Messaging gets good use as well. There is the option of Xbox messaging but for me this loads slower than other formats. Facebook Messenger is the other means of communication that a couple of clan members use from time to time.The clan wall on Bungie gets more use between a handful of members though it is all a work in progress as everyone goes about their everyday lives and chooses how they best wish to converse, if indeed they do. If over time we brave the mic for short spells of chat, and we retain an ease of conversation then this in itself will be a huge achievement. But Silent Guardians will always stand true to our name first and foremost.
