I'm an avid raider. I have no desire to run King's Fall anymore
It is time consuming and/or frustrating unless you have a team of six experienced players.
The weapons are God awful.
The armor is ugly and the perks aren't useful.
King's Fall challenge week just comes and goes for me.
Edit - So you don't have to check, I have 70+ KF completions.

I have zero reason to run any raids after the first months since I got all the adept weapons first month. I might run WotM for the shader and KF/VoG for armor but it's gotten pretty boring now

I did that raid earlier last week. My team and I did it pretty well. We had hiccups and inconveniences but only on the technical side of the raid. But Christ almighty. I only got the damn Bond for my Warlock. I want that armor set for cosmetic reasons, but I never once got anything else. It was raining weapons and even with knuckles I got four adept primaries. The Totems and the Sisters gave me a damn ghost shell... what a joke.

I feel you. Right now, I've done 100s of raids with LFGs, and at this moment I'm suffering severe burn out. I really, really want the Crota's End gear, but even if I learn the strategy on YouTube, I don't have the patience to find an experienced team anymore. I'm not saying I'm a top tier player, but I learn quickly and settle into my roles after 5 or so tries. But honestly, I don't have the patience to wade through bad team after bad team. And I love Kings Fall, it wasn't the first raid but it's just as nostalgic as VoG. But yea, the weapons look good, but offer absolutely -blam!- all.

9 RepliesSome of the weapons really aren't as bad as they're often made out to be. While Zaouli's Bane and Anguish of Drystan really are horrific items, Silence of A'arn and Elulim's Frenzy offering nothing new, the rest aren't too shabby. No one ever gave Midha's Reckoning a chance but it's actually very good for PvP, most people are familiar with Defiance of Yasmin by now. Smite of Merain with Firefly is a great choice for general PvE, Doom of Chelchis is a solid workhorse with an Adept version that towers above Word of Crota and Atheon's Epilogue. Whatever happened to Qullim's Terminus being the best Legendary MG? [spoiler]Why am I defending KF? It's the Raid that largely killed Destiny.[/spoiler]

I agree completely. I disliked Kings Fall the most out of all the raids. WOTM comes in a close second due to Aksis P2 -_-

6 RepliesEver go into a raid knowing you're an awesome player, knowing all the mechanics, rarely dying, but yet still it takes you longer than it should to complete the raid because of players who die alot and don't know the mechanics? Well i want to invite everyone to a group chat i have going on. What you will need to do is download the app called "groupme" and then send me a private message either here or on my PSN: HuSeYiN_NYC with the email you used to sign in to groupme so i can add you to the group chat. You don't need to join my clan if you dont want to. The reason why i want to find good raiders is because I'm tired of trying to beat a raid boss over n over n over again because people keep messing up. Also another reason for me doing this is to stay in touch with those good players for when Destiny 2 comes out, our friends lists will consist of nothing BUT good players. Thanks for reading. 13 RepliesEvery team I have seems to struggle with golgoroth challenge. When we ask who is taking 1st gaze..the tumbleweed rolls across the screen. Always ends up with me doing it. Then despite instruction and using different strategies to suit the team, the 2nd gaze person nearly always tries to take gaze from standing in front of golgy. Then come the excuses "I was shooting him"... and "an auto rifle should be able to get gaze quickly"... at which point I'm like "I'm stood front left so he faces you all for damage...get to the back right bridge and shoot his back from there ffs". Then comes the bomb...if your screen has a timer pop up on bottom left...don't stand near anyone else when that reaches 0.

King's Fall was my favorite raid from a mechanics standpoint. I really liked the fact that they had brought back the whole idea of needing a full fireteam to kill bosses, which goes with the whole destiny thematic of the pack taking down the lion. Before that we had been playing Crota, where one person was doing everything and the rest of the team was a walking gjallahorn shot. I, however, one hundred percent agree with you that the loot was completely dumb. To this day, I have never understood why they needed to remove elemental primaries, as that was one of many things that made raids special in y1.

2 RepliesI think that Kings Fall is one of the best raids. It's well designed and I personally like it. Most of the weapons are fun to use while actually being decent or terrible and the raid requires all fireteam members to be alive. While other raids only require 1 or 2 positions in important roles, King's Fall requires most of the fireteam to run. That is what I think is the essence of a good raid.
