No matter how much I bitch about things in this game I have to say I have never had a game that I have played for 3 yrs straight or spent as much money on and I don't regret 1 sec of it.
Thank you bungie and I'm looking forward to Destiny 2. Best money I ever spent on a game and I've been playing since Atari 2600 and I'm 42 yrs old

This is 100% the best money I ever spent on a game. Including DLCs. Kept me occupied for 2 and a bit years now. How can you complain?! Yeah yeah stuff was broken a lot of the time but I always just adjusted or deleted a character or played raids or whatever. Anyway. I like it and I'm excited for D2 beta.

100% agree. Someone buy that man a beer.
-
I may hate the game at times, but I always go back and for the most part enjoy it. I can't complain because like this, I haven't spent this much time on a game since Gran Turismo. My fiance preordered Destiny 2 and I'm looking forward to it.

1 ReplyI bought the the game on ps3 with dlcs and then on ps4 also with dlcs So 300€ for the game twice. But it was worth. I will preorder Destiny 2 with Dlcs

Couldn't agree more. Money very well spent indeed.
-
depends how many mictrotransactions you got and if you got what you wanted :D
-
I agree 100%

I agree destiny saved me a ton of money

Same here. Forty one years old and playing since day one. This game has been pretty amazing for the most part.
-
Same. Hate some of the patches and changes which have occurred, but the amount of guardians I've met along the way, some of which I still play with have made this game worth every penny.
-
Agreed

Not counting repurchasing for Xbox One nor prepaying for Destiny 2, I've spent $170 on this game. Unfortunately this game was not worth that, nor the 5000+ hours I've spent in it. Sure, the shooting and stuff is great, but all the mismanagement from BungIe and actual inventory management I have to do when not killing things is what brings down my high. I bet a bunch of people will be quick to post "Why don't you just quit if you hate it so much?" The biggest problem is that I don't hate Destiny. I like it. A lot. At first I only played this game because there was much else available that interested me. Most of the bigger issues with this game could have been fixed in this game, not Destiny 2. So many are putting all their hopes in Destiny 2 as a culmination of Destiny 1 fixes, but all BungIe's truly learned how to do is make more Treasure cheats to sell us.

3 RepliesI'm 40, have more hours in this game than any other combined. It's addictive. I've met friends here that I have met in real life. I love all the bullshit that comes with it. Squeekers, ragers, sweats, turds like me, and even a few girls.....EWWWW!. Somedays I run though the old Cosmodrome, looking for new players to add as friends. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing a newbie kill Taniks and sit in his throne. That is an accomplishment. I still love matchmaking with scrubs and flawless experts, and seeing 'gg' after a heated game. Some of us still play the game right. Hate it or love it, we are all in it together. Thanks for all of you for making this the best gaming experience ever. P.S. Semper FI!

Right there with you brother. Same here.

This is so true. Pre-Atari 2600. 46.
-
I would've paid more if need be but def worth every penny!( btw I don't do or encourage micro trans, dlc is one thing but....
-
Just like a slot machine

5 RepliesDepends if you call repeating the overpriced tiny content 'value'
-
You are correct. As much as we all have moaned, you could never get thousands of hours of entertainment, for only a couple of hundred pounds. definitely worth every penny.
-
Ya from all my time playing I spent about 13 cents per hour on destiny. I'd say it was worth it
-
1 ReplyWhile there are many improvements that they can implement with destiny 2, I agree. I recently looked it up and I've played nearly 2800 hours on destiny. Are there times when I didn't get he loot I wanted (I'm talking about you WotM hard raid hunter helmet).... oh hell yes. Lol. This game did however provide me with countless new friendships amazing times and my wife now plays this game with me. Can you put a price tag on that? I realize the experience is different for all of us but, this has been my experience and it was well worth it.

If you meet me, the saltiest, trash talking player, I have to agree with you on this one. I played this game the most out of any other game.
-
Actually agree with you, it's not the game it was hyped to be, we've been screwed over again and again, bungie have proven themselves to be incompetent in several areas, yet I've logged in more hours than any other game since final fantasy 7 and 8.
and will continue to play almost every day
