No matter the meta, some idiots will moan that something's OP... let's face it, Autos are trash, snipers are trash, pulses are nerfed, fusions are nerfed, shotguns are BAAAD, and practically every super or grenade has received some form of nerf within the two years (hell even a JUMP (blink) was nerfed... a JUMP!!!) and STILL people arnt happy :/
When an effing SIDEARM is the most used weapon in crucible (what is this? Halo 1?) and your all (well, not EVERYONE but you should know what I mean) begging for it to be nerfed, your just scraping the barrel asking for the destruction of the only good weapon class left.
How about, bear with me... instead of asking to nerf EVERYTHING, we instead, ask for some things to be (here's a real shocker) BUFFED!?! How about we ask for our autos and shotguns to be viable again? How about asking for our grenades to be useful again (except fusion grenades, the only useful grenade left). How about asking for a meta with more than ONE effing weapon to return?
Think about it guardians... change your moan tactics and we might actually get a half decent PvP shooter again :)
Edit 1: people bring up a fair point tbh that bungie won't be doing any more balancing changes :( but remember guardians, our attitude to the balancing of destiny 1 WILL affect the launch of destiny 2. Even if you no longer care for destiny 1 atleast think of the sequel.
Edit2: trending? Woo!!! Variks will be pleased ;P

1 ReplyIf we buffed instead of nerved then the average time to kill would go down, and god knows we don't need another COD
-
8 RepliesAutos got a buff. They can be used now. Shotguns are good if you use them effectively. Fusions are fun to use. Snipers...meh...I'm bad with them. Pulses can still do really well. Hand Cannons got a nice buff as well. Scout Rifles are still really good. (Pick up a Chaos Dogma) And the Special Ammo nerf makes it feel...special. Overall, sidearms can be tolerated and any gun can be used. You just need to know how to outsmart your enemy.

Those of us with brains have been trying to tell the kids that for ages, but they never listen.
-
8 RepliesThey need to buff lightning grenades, fist of havoc, hammers, nova bomb, stormtrance, NLB, sidearms, stickies, suppressors, shoulder charge, jug, titan melee, warlock melee, life steal for every class and make them so shots landed grant life back except for hunters bc they are op, then buff titan movement speed, give warlocks a evade, buff bubble, buff self res so when u res everyone around you in a 20meter range dies, buff crowd control, reactive reload, LITC, and last but not least Nerf blade dancers because they are just to hard to handle.

sarcasm but who cares just kill shit the best way you can.

You are like a year too late.

The blind arrogance to understanding weapon balancing
-
2 RepliesNerf Hand cannons!!! Oh they did, bye!
-
Idk what you are talking about... rock the no land / 77 wizard for days like a noob 😎
-
27 RepliesIf something is OP, I'm still going to ask for it to be nerfed. This ridiculous notion that we should stop nerfing everything just because you're unhappy with the state of the game is just mindless. Should there be more buffs than nerfs at this point? Yes. Should we abandon nerfs altogether? No.
-
1 ReplyI agree they keep coming on to the forums and crying for nerfs because they can't counter the weapon or can't get the weapon I have something that will solve all the crucibabies problems the crucible is optional if you have a problem getting killed by a certain weapon and can't counter the weapon I hear patrols and strikes are crucibaby friendly and the good thing is all the enemies will have the same weapons, no one is making you play the crucible learn what you are doing wrong and try to get better or STAY OUT!

5 RepliesEdited by Post Nut Clarity: 3/22/2017 3:21:47 PMYou are the problem yourself. Using the weapons the streamers and the youtubers do. Be creative and original. But no, only weapons that are considered 'meta' are being used by all of you. You bring the nerfs upon yourselves. I hope handcannons and Icebreaker get nerfs, just for the heck of it. Oh and don't forget sidearms, they need to be included in the special nerf.
-
1 ReplySo what you're saying is...
Nerf Hand Cannons
-
12 RepliesNot everyone wants Call of duty with insta melt weapons. Some of us want gun skill and aim to matter.
-
This games pretty much dead, I doubt there will be any more updates involving weapon changes.
And by "dead" I mean that it won't get many more updates, if any more updates at all after the next one. So If I see one reply saying that "This game isn't dead it only takes 10 minutes to find a game of clash" then I'll be deeply upset.
Dude the damage has already been done. At this point the only way to balance the game is to nerf Guardian health, Bungie ain't going to do anything, so we might as well start a mob-mentality and alienate the people crying for nerfs before they ruin Destiny 2. That and everyone bitching about vault space. Damn digital hoarders moaning about how they don't have enough room for the crap they don't want to throw out instead of letting the community focus on actual balancing issues.
-
2 RepliesEdited by noxdg: 3/21/2017 12:45:29 PMLet's look at the weapon changes for what they really are: Beta testing for Destiny 2. During the course of Destiny, every weapon class has blatantly had their day in the sun, and Bungie has collected massive amounts of data on each of them. There's no way each meta was formed by accident.
-
Sorry bungie only knows how to nerf
-
Game is done, just hope the last one fixes special to an extent that I can use my 1ks in trials after round 1!
-
Nerf the OP
-
All grenades need a bigger one hit kill radius, with exception of DoT models. Why didn't they add a little delay (.2 seconds, something small enough to where they're still useful but long enough that if an opponent is on his toes he can evade.)
-
1 ReplyI thought the Destiny community was mature,
Oh boy was I wrong.
-
I agree!
Buff nerfs so the nerfs are stronger
-
Powercreep, overbuff something? Gotta buff everything else again. Do it again? Agai-gai-ain? Oh! New weapon type/feature? Does it affect the meta/break a perk? Did we shift Ammo economy again? Change ability charge rates? Buff buff buff. Boom, next year we'll have a vid of someone one-shotting a Raid boss. So, why not both? I love the primary state shy Hakke pulses which are still in need of a buff and look forward to the overdue flinch additive to NLB. Nerfs in excess weaken the player's strength aye! But everything in moderation makes for occasional shifts to the stale formula while keeping the point of using a weapon intact.
-
1 ReplyNerf callers have killed all that was good in this game and they are at it again. This is the meta players wanted now live with it. Autos pulses snipers heavys fusions ect ect the only thing thats never been balanced is scout rifles. The death of destiny is that the community that cried nerf..
-
And this is why pve can't have nice things. :(

Edited by StrainedDig4: 3/21/2017 4:30:01 PMCrucible reminds me of the days when the Killer Elites showed up in their shiny uniforms and did maneuvers to 'fulfill' their 'combat obligations', but left before real blood spilled so we didn't see them faint! They looked so cute in that shiny polished brass. Pity they had no spines to hold up their arse. "The Crucible is no place for mercy". Want a nerf, get the f'k out! Problem solved, Killer...
