This thread is for discussion of everything related to the Witcher game series.
Before you post all i ask is that any conversations including any spoilers for the DLC, Blood and Wine get put into a spoiler box. I haven't played it yet, see spoiler for explanation.
Before i finish the series up by playing Blood and Wine i wanted to do a new game + and go through and complete everything and find all the hidden locations and hidden treasures. I was afraid that after i beat B&W i wouldnt play anymore, so i want to get everything i can from it before i finish it up.
Anyway, I love with the Witcher 3. I have never really been a big fan of rpgs, but soon as i started playing it I was instantly hooked. The games story is riveting, second to none imo. The characters relatable and loveable, the monsters are diverse, each offing a challenging fight. The enormous world you get to explore is visually stunning to say the least. The world is huge but feels alive. Even a simple side quest that starts out as one of those "go here and kill this quest" can turn into a two hour long sherlockian adventure that winds up playing into the main storyline. Its a game that will always be on my top five list.
Here are some question, feel free to answer all, or none! If you'd rather just talk about your playthrough or something different, feel free to do that too. Id be glad to discuss anything about the game.
What is your most memorable moment from the game?
What happened to ciri at the end of your playthrough?
What gear do you wear, and what swords do you carry?
Have you ever found a secret location that maybe no one else has?
What is your favorite location to explore?
Who's your favorite character, and who did you romance during the game?
Whats your favorite quest?
Did you make any choices you regretted?
Have you read any of the Witcher books?
Last but not least, are you sad knowing that the Witcher series has come to a end.
I have more if want them, just ask.
Enjoy, post away

1 ReplyDo any of you recommend the "Blood and Wine" dlc? I finished hearts of stones and I loved it but I'm not sure about blood and wine.

1 ReplyEdited by UndeadGrizzly: 3/23/2017 3:20:02 PMSo I chose all of the romance dialogue options for Triss(I think) and when things came to an end I chose the "stay with me ily" dialogue only to have her look at me distastefully and sail away anyway. I chose the dialogue options with Djikstra that are supposed to result in her teleporting back, no dice. Since I seem to have blown my chances with Triss for reasons that are completely unknown to me, I started choosing all the Yen romance dialogue options. All the sudden when we got to Kaer Mohren it became apparent Yen has a problem with me over something I never even said back in Skellige lol. I was forced into choosing a dialogue option saying "Yen I'm sorry for what I said in Skellige" to which she brushed me off, but we were getting along great in Skellige hahaha. Anyone know why this game is desperately trying to remind me that I'm bad with women? Does it have something to do with the dialogue I chose back in Royal Place in Vizima that sort of set my backstory up resulting in both Yen and Triss hating my Geraldt?

6 RepliesAm I the only one who found the movement mechanics so terrible that it took away what should have been an awesome experience? With more fluid movement I'm sure I'd have this in my top 3 but damn I just hated the movement. I loved the bloody baron quest and wondered what would have happened had I chose options differently. To me it was an exceptional highlight and the peak of the game. I liked the love triangle between geralt, triss and Jennifer. I went for triss in the end. But damn that movement. It's kept me from enjoying what would be a perfectly suited game for my taste. And f*ck you roach. F*ck you you dumb f*cking moron of a overgrown donkey. #thingsroachdoes #whyspawn700milesaway #sprintsforhalfthemapbutstopsforapebble #turnaroundyoubastard #goleftLEFTisaidleft!!!!!!!

1 ReplyEdited by Oak_Khan: 3/23/2017 2:06:12 PMI've never played the game on anything less than the hardest difficulty, you get bandit camps in blood and wine and face up to 30 bandits it's ridiculous but I did it, I have never felt so accomplished before. You get to become a super witcher in the game as you go into a captain America pod and enhance your powers greatly. Be very careful how you allocate points into it. But yeah I did the same thing you plan to except I just restarted my game and spent the entire summer playing the witcher 3 and doing calculus, my advice would be to not pick up armor but craft them and do not craft any swords at all as you pick up many unique ones that you may never use if you crafted up a bunch of strong witcher swords. My favorite moment was killing imelrith, the game makes you feel as though he killed your father/mentor and now you have to teach this arrogant prick a lesson. He is really strong, it took me 2 tries but my friend spent 2 Hrs on it, so it feels like an uphill battle but is driven by your hatred. The final line is also delivered perfectly. The very last scene for blood and wine (before you head back to your house) is a close second but I won't spoil that, all I will say is right after that I felt a mixture of happiness and sadness. I was happy because I felt accomplished but I was sad because I had completed the witcher one of the best games of all times and I will never get the ability to experience it for the first time.

2 RepliesMost memorable moment: Bloody Baron quest line What happened to Ciri: Empress on both runs Gear: Wolf School all the way Secret location: I doubt it Favorite location: Ard Skellig Favorite character: Geralt, duh Romance: Yenn. Always Yenn. Triss is a dumb ho. Favorite quest: Since I already said Bloody Baron, I'll go with Hearts of Stone. Choices regretted: I don't think I could've stopped it, but I didn't much care for Yenn using necromancy on that poor guy. Think his name was Skjall. Read any books: Nope. Am I sad?: I don't think that it's truly over, but yes I am sad that it will probably be quite some time before we see anything.

5 RepliesEdited by Murph Tha Smurf: 3/20/2017 4:46:04 PMI also am very preferential towards the Witcher (though I've only played the third as of now). I've completed 2 full playthroughs, one on Death March, and the entire Gwent deck.
What is your most memorable moment from the game?
Getting drunk at Kaer Morhen. All the way.
What happened to ciri at the end of your playthrough?

First? Witcher. Second? ...rip

What gear do you wear, and what swords do you carry?
First playthrough? idk random stuff. Second? Grandmaster Cat gear, Iris, and Aerondight.
Have you ever found a secret location that maybe no one else has?
Maybe. I found this cave that I wanted to explore but the only entrance was a death drop. There was water but it was too shallow. Spent a good amount of time trying though.
What is your favorite location to explore?
Probably Kaer Morhen, or maybe Toussaint. I like Kaer Morhen because you can learn a lot about Geralt's distant past.
Who's your favorite character, and who did you romance during the game?
Favorite? Geralt. Gaunter O' Dimm is close though. Romanced Yen first playthrough, then Triss second just to see new cutscenes. Yen best option.
Whats your favorite quest?
All of them? Let me think.
Did you make any choices you regretted?
Stopping the search for Priscilla's attacker too early. Ended up letting the real culprit escape. Fixed that second playthrough.
Have you read any of the Witcher books?
2, working on Blood of Elves now.
Last but not least, are you sad knowing that the Witcher series has come to a end.
Yeah. Kinda sucks I hopped on at the (most-likely) end. I'll be following CD Projekt Red from now on, though.
I have more if want them, just ask.
Go ahead, if you'd like.

4 RepliesThe scene between the 3 witchers at kaer morhen was my favourite. Or possibly the limerick lambert lambert what a prick. Ciri as empress Yennefer Grandmaster gear. From what i have read this is the end of geralts journey but not necessarily the end of the witcher games.

1 ReplyEdited by DedCanDance: 3/19/2017 11:25:08 PMThe musical score for this game is perfect. My favorite part of the game? The entire Last Wish quest and The Hags of Crookback bog. 😈 Triss 🤤 While I'd like to see another addition, I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077.

8 RepliesI don't think we've seen the last of The Witcher. It's only now becoming a big franchise. It would be a terrible waste to never make a follow up. Once CP2077 lands, I expect their next game to be in The Witcher universe, which probably won't hit until 2022 lol.

3 RepliesI couldn't finish the main story, too long and not gripping

1 ReplyEdited by ABeardedViking: 3/19/2017 3:56:04 PMMemorable moment: the whole game was memorable but my favorite quest is the wedding from Heart and Stone. Never had a game make me laugh so much Grandmaster ursine gear with aerondight sword Favorite location would have to be Toussaint ever since it was teased in the night to remember trailer Not sure if I found a location that no one found Never read the books actually wasn't really a Witcher fan prior to 3. But did read the Witcher wiki prior to playing Witcher 3 Ciri lived in my playthrough Not sad that it ended as I still have to finish Blood and Wine

1 ReplyEdited by Psyntifik: 3/19/2017 3:08:48 PMNo B&W spoilers here.
The attack on Kaer Morhen was a pretty badass moment. But honestly, the game is full of memorable moments. She became a witcher. When I read through the options after, I realised I was basically one away from making her empress - would have preferred that. Griffin all day. Potions and Signs build is OP. Probably not. But I've never come across anyone who has been to the island in Skellige that leads to a quest where you help a woman who can't speak Common escape from mercenaries. Skellige. Gaunter O'Dimm. No question. #TeamYen Iunno... The wedding in HoS, maybe? Not breaking Djikstra's leg. Yes, a number of times over the years. Nah, I'm happy. I've been playing The Witcher since 2008, I'm glad it had a good ending.
