Ward of Dawn/AoL Buff?

It might just be me that thinks this, so feel free to argue/agree. But this might sound weird, but I think that ward of dawn needs a buff. I think it's too weak. Now I'm not just complaining, I just feel like there are some supers that murder it that shouldn't. Also, fix the indirect health regen nerf. Supers that are good where they are in regards to destroying bubbles: Fist of Havoc Nova bomb (2 out of the three shattered nova bombs should kill it) Golden gun (all 3-4 shots) Supers that should take longer to destroy a bubble: Stormcallers Sunbreakers (it should take the majority of the hammers, not 3. ) I also think that the Armor of Light overshield needs a *slight* b uff to be able to sustain more than 2 hammers. Defender is supposed to be a tank class, make them a tank. Thanks, talk about this idea in the comments.

    • As someone who prefers helmets with orb health shield regen I don't mind the health regen changes. The change affects that perk, and it is much nicer getting a big chunk of health instantly as I run to collect orbs. Rather than getting a small does of both and it start regenning but it not matter cause I'm getting shot or have a dot on me. That's just me though, both methods of healing work. I'm still going to use the perk regardless.

      Everyone here saying the bubble needs to be buffed just stop. The majority of you probably haven't used defender in pvp for awhile simply because its super doesn't kill and it's grenades mostly take half a brain to use along with a mele that only gets super aggressive with NBP and a shotgun. The class doesn't need many changes its relatively good where it is. The super is most definitely a support super to help your teammates by giving them an extra over shield or by letting them do more damage or you could put an armor bubble on a cap point and take the base or put that armor bubble on heavy and kick the enemy off of it. Or for more fun you can bait supers like Novas, Slams, Storms, Hammers, etc Slams jump out before they slam inside you can kill them when they're getting up. Novas just let them blow it up but [b]DON'T LEAVE[/b] the bubble stay inside for Novas jump out for Slams, k?. Storms let them sit in place shocking it pop out for a quick second surpress em then either punch that sorry son of a bitch to death or shotty him "your a Titan you don't use primaries 😉". Hammers they'll most likely surcharge you or run in and try to nuke you. Don't worry you survive both with armor on lmao just pop a suppression nade down just as he's about to come in then when he does BAM no more Hammers just beat him to death then, same goes for blade and sunsingers. You can also tank rockets, stickies, shottys in armor of light. The class doesn't really need a buff it's my main and I don't care if bungies oh so precious graphs say it's got the worst KD because I have no problem going positive and even winning rumble games against storms and such. [spoiler]Oh and only real Defender titans use surpression nades. Sissies use magnetic ones and spikes? Those are for huntards ;)[/spoiler]

        • Maybe the bubble should pop if a striker TITAN slams outside the bubble, but keep the WoD Titan alive, works with nova bomb so why not slam?

          • Try this for me (in mayhem mode) 1. Equip armamentarium 2. Have max discipline and intellect 3. Defender with Armor of light and suppressor grenades First, find an area of a map with high 1 to 2 way flow (I.e. Blackshield- inside the center on top of the platform looking out the enemy side door). There is at least 1 on every map, some maps are better than others however. The reason you want this spot is for area control and constant suppressant. Once you have found a cozy spot, start spamming suppressor grenades in the direction of the enemy. This won't net you tons of kills, but it almost guarantees a positive k/d and a win for your team. Your spam of the suppressor grenades keeps enemies from using their supers and running away. Check out the clips below.             • As a Defender main, I disagree with this. The class is balanced around countering the Supers that can destroy it's bubble through one tool; Suppressor Grenades. Drop one near an enemy Super and watch their salty tears float away with their disintegrating corpse as you ruin their hard-earned super and punch them to death for a free over-shield. Though less effective against Fist of Havoc and Nova Bomb it is fun to get the once-in-a-while mid Fist/Nova shut-down, though they still keep the Super as it never actually went off so expect retaliation.

              • I personally disagree, Defender is a support class, Striker is a tank class. As a support class defenders have suppressor grenades. Which handicap the enemies movement, so your teammates can come in and kill them. Now you might see your bubble as useless and easy to shutdown. However I see it as an easy way to get rid of the other teams supers. It also makes 2 orbs when you pop it for your team to get their supers. You also have the option to give your team weapon/armor buffs. That's the definition of support.

              • Its easy to be shut down in 6v6 because everyone and there grandmaw has a super. But do you know what happens when two people or more use a bubble side by side? Nothing. Because they cannot be killed. Then they both get orbs and then before you know it, there are more bubbles.

              • The old ward of dawn was able to take fist of havoc... three golden gun or nova blast ... but then the cry babies 👶 came around and it was nerfed... I really do miss the old one ...

                • Heres a neat idea. If you choose armor of light ir replaces your bubble with a powerful overshield. So you can be mobile and have armor of light(maybe not as strong). Also all charged melee kills during super would regen the overshield. This would be slightly broken but fun in pve tho :D.

                • I main defender pvp and idk. Theres part of me that doesnt agree that our super is basically to bait the use of another super to be "wasted" as that doesnt net your team any extra. However I dont think the defender should always have the last say in a gunfight either. I think defenders are alright really. We make it up in the neutral game with an overly generous sticky gernade/super sucking gernade and a melee that can perk for extra damage and instant reloads with an overshield to boot. Fusions are a slept on special for the class while Im at it btw. The bubble is a perfect pair for it as it provides you a transparent wall you can walk through to charge and fire shots without penalty of being exposed while charging. Get one with replenish and stability perks and it tears up people who try to charge at you before they can even super.

                  • For golden gun, no. If your team is in the bubble and they see a golden gun, they should move and not stay still. Always pop your bubble in an area with lots of exits Incase you get overwhelmed by enemies. I don't see why your still in your bubble when there is a roaming super right outside. Hammers and Blade can be avoided, you just have to be smart about it.

                    • Keep Blessings of Light and Weapons of Light as is. Armor of Light, however... Needs to be able to withstand everything. That should be the trade off. If all Armor of Light can protect is what is inside, it should be unbreakable for the duration of the super. The only way it should be vulnerable is to assault from the inside, for example: Fist of Havoc, Nova Bomb, or killing the Titan.

                      • You should get insta-killed if you look at it. Seriously though, I personally thought it would be interesting if they added a new exotic armour piece for Defender. When you activate the bubble over the enemy, they die.

                        • All it needs is a perk or armor piece that throws enemies out of the bubble area with force only as the bubble is being activated. Kind of like a shield bash hit.

                        • I suppose I agree with this. The only thing I've noticed that truly annoys me in terms of supers is how incredibly strong a Sunbreaker Hammer is. Every single super (excluding Ward of Dawn) can be OHK'd by it, no matter the abilities (Striker with maximum armor? Nope, not anymore!). Trust me, I don't think it should be nerfed or changed - I [i]am[/i] a Titan main, after all - but I've just been noticing that kind of thing lately with this crappy meta.

                          • I do think there should be a trade for supers of some sort. Like for example if a foh hits it it should destroy it and at least keep me at half health with some glimmer of hope ._. The glass house should come with illuminated at least 😀and the Skullfort helm is amazing (b4 the great nerf) just stack amplify and shoulder charge and your gonna have fun. The paraffin greeves are pretty Damn good! They one hit roaming supers and defender's with armor of light ._. So yea buff the glasshouse
