Stop putting us in matches already in progress!
Or if a player leaves a match, give them a 10 min. Deserter Cooldown penalty where they can't que up for a match.
I'm sick of this BS when I play solo.
You spawn in....heavy ammo was just available.....you get a rocket or 2 to the face and supered....match over.....
Come up w something or give us a choice....
I guess I'll have to deal w it cause devs won't do anything till Destiny 2 and my whole clan pretty much stopped playing....

Edit- I never leave matches even when I get put into a game and get rocketed n supered by everyone.
But seriously I'm leaving every single game when I get out in a match already in progress....
Seriously, why the hell haven't the devs come up with a solution to this?

Why does it have to be a mystery which map we are going into?...So at the last second we have to scramble and switch our set ups.
Edit 2- Maybe this is why we shouldn't even have heavy ammo in pvp.
Edit 3- Maybe we should have a choice in our settings menu....to be put in games already in progress or not.

Last week I was thrown into a match, the score was 3000ish- 150. I noticed a teammate left, opened up the scoreboard to see I was the only person on my team, 1v6 for a solid 7-8 minutes before this idiotic game gave me teammates...

The "deserter cooldown" should not take effect if the player leaves before 2 mintes have passed.

I dont mind being put into matches that are already in progress. Just dont put me in matches that should have been a Mercy but for whatever reason Mercy didnt activate and now I'm spawning into a Storm caller's super while being tracked by Truth.

Given how popular the game is, everyone is playing something else. It's either wait forever or join in progress. This is my experience.

4 RepliesI think a good solution to this would be a "Late Start" buff. When joining a match in progress give the joining player a buff, and adjust accordingly whether you're on the winning or losing team. 1. Super Energy - Average all players super charge at the time the player joins and give the player that amount of their super-bar pre-charged if on the losing team. If on the winning team the player gets 50% of the average. 2. Heavy Ammo - If joining after heavy ammo has dropped the joining player receives 50% of a normal heavy ammo crate upon spawn if on the losing team, or 25% if on the winning team. 3. Late Start buff - A 45 second buff which increases reload, movement, and handling to allow players to quickly get into the action and catch up a bit. To prevent exploiting (players repeatedly leaving and rejoining their fireteam), you could do a check if the player was already a teammate during the match. This could also be adjusted to only apply after one team had surpassed +/-15% of the overall score or time limit since games below that point haven't really started in my opinion. It's currently a tremendous handicap to be put into a game in progress but I think most of us would stick around more often if we got to wreak a little havoc and help our team catch up in the process.

2 RepliesWell you see... With destines broken loot system, when you join a match, you do bad cuz you weren't there as long. When you do bad, you have a 90% higher chance for good loot, therefore, easier loot.

1 ReplyI love the "Deserter Cooldown" idea. That would fix the problem all by itself. But, that would just encourage a whole bunch of people to leave Destiny and play other games. Granted, the people that would be leaving are undesirables (quitters, KD whores, etc), but this game can't afford to lose anymore people. It's lost way, way, WAY too many already.

2 RepliesIf you don't see any other ships flying in with you when the loading animation finishes, use the menu to log out and back in. Otherwise, just play it safe and wait until the next game. I do think there should be an option to not join games in progress though.

3 RepliesKnow what I hate? Quitters. Like come on. Consistently I'll play skirmish with my friend. We get one rando. And it's laughable how many times they will quit out after like 1 minute into the game. Even if we're winning. Idk if people just rage quit more and more cuz of the sweaty douches in skirmish or what. But come on. Sick of getting pub stomped 2v3 and getting bagged for sticking around :/

2 RepliesPlayers drop because of terrible matchmaking. Half the time i'm up against large fireteams with nothing but randoms on my team. Fireteams always have the overwhelming advantage if they are playing against solo players or smaller fireteams. There's nothing wrong with having fireteams, but they should be playing against each other not against unorganized solo players. Also, i've noticed that multiple smaller fireteams will end up on the same team instead of splitting them up. This unfair matchmaking makes players rage and drop out or they realize they're playing against a fireteam and just drop before the match really begins. If Bungie would just make their matchmaking better and more fair you would see a lot less people dropping out which means you would be a lot less likely to be dropped into a game.

This happened to me the other day an Jesus I herd em call heavy ammo then I spawned infront of a storm trance an then spawned in front of the same guy again as it was ending then Got golden gunned an the match ended
