Bungie Community Fireteam 1/21/17 Iron Banner 6pm Pacific
Bungie Community Fireteam is back again this week, and this time we will be playing some Iron Banner. This is your chance to play some Destiny with Bungie. Last week we [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/220813418?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1]played on XB1[/url] so this week we will be on PS4.
We will get started at 6 pm Pacific. Make sure you are available to play before signing up. I will send messages to the players chosen tomorrow (1/18/17) at 3 pm Pacific. Please reply by Thursday (1/19/17 ) at 3 pm Pacific to confirm your spot or you may be replaced. Alternates are not guaranteed a spot, but will be the first invites that go out if someone doesn't show up, or leaves early.
To sign up just reply to this thread with your PSN ID and your favorite Crucible war story. Participants are chosen randomly, but we love reading your stories.

Psn: gravy_commander One of my favorite crucible memories was getting selected for a previous community fireteam. I had just logged off of destiny and took a sleeping pill to help with insomnia. I was using the app to transfer a couple things around before I went to bed and I saw that I had a message from Cosmo about being selected. I had to quickly make some arrangements for work as the time difference for the community fire team and my work schedule didn't gel (I'm east coast and work starts for me before sunrise/5am). My boss from work knew I was a nerd, but this helped cement the fact... I tried to squeeze in a nap, but the excitement was real. The entire time we played I was in a sleep medicine induced daze and was lucky to go positive in any of the matches. The first match we played was against Lucky and Buttwipe (I had no idea who they were at the time) and almost thought about giving up after the first match because I thought my sleep medicine was too much to go against. Eventually hit a stride and I think we actually won a few games. It was a blast to play with people from Bungie and was fun to get messages from friends who were watching me get slaughtered on Lucky's stream lol. #CarRamrod ~Gravy

Courieron3 When taken king dropped I decided to use night stalker in rift, I got a phantom by slamming a spark and then popping tether on the spawn for another kill. I had no idea about the new medals until then.

PSN ID: Seingrad My war story is the first time I went unbroken. I was playing with one of my friends on Mayhem clash. Rolling my gunslinger hunter, still my favorite class, with the Young Ahamkara's Spine. Tripmines all game, I trapped so many people on Memento. I kept getting kills until I noticed I had gotten the Reign of Terror medal and then I turned into a turtle. I went to Bravo spawn and littered the ground with tripmines and waited till the match ended, I think I got to almost 25 kills but the match ended. So satisfying to see "Seingrad went unbroken!", even if it was Mayhem Clash. So far the only time I went unbroken.

PSN: XW_David24X War story: I'm average at best at trials and don't play it often, but one of my favorite moments was one round going 1v3 as the last man standing and racking up 6 kills to win the round. It was only one round and we still lost the match, but it was great hearing my teammates cheer me on and feeling like a boss if only for a moment.

Psn: GrandStyles One of my favorite moments in crucible is when me and a buddy were carrying someone we recently met who asked to run trials during year 2. During the card she recognized some friends she had around the 5th round. She begged us to beat them because she said she was always getting rocked by them in pvp. Long story short, I channel the power of Lord Shaxx and proceed to go unbroken on them (this being my first unbroken in trials). After the match they send her a psn message saying, "Your friend should go outside more." I don't know if they were right. But I do know I want to be on this bungie fireteam!

Eci1pze__ My favorite story would have to be based on pantheon. Me and a buddy were playing rift. I was racking in the kills one after another. Getting award after award. I let my buddy know I was on a 20 streak. He stood by me protecting my six as I went on to get my very first "we ran out of medals".

X-factor1984 Fav war story. When I got my first mark of the unbroken. It was on the dungeons. I didn't even realize it until under a minute left and I was like crap i need one more kill. My friends were like don't let him get it. Take his kills lol. Needless to say I didn't let them stop my i got my kill and avoided a golden gun in the process to end the match and get my first unbroken. Great time for me

I hadn't realized it till the end match screen loaded; I had gotten 13 kills and a 13 k/d which is now the highest k/d I have ever achieved! Cool that the ROI book keeps track of an achievement like that!

PSN: SoodTheDude708 My favorite war story is when I went unbroken. I was on my 15th kill and was shaking as I realized I never died. I got the final kill and just barely reached for that unbroken.

1 ReplyPSN ID: Grapthars_Hammer War Story: My first Iron Banner Rift (back in Year 2). I grabbed the spark and ran all the way to the enemy rift. I got onto the rift, ready to slam, when nothing happened. I found out that my teammate had taken the spark, instead of me.

Psn CatlikeCarpet1 Story. I was playing trials over the weekend and beat: nKuch, RealKraftyy, SS_PUPS, and Murdaro all in one night. I'm not trying to say they are bad players, no, they are great players and it was just a highlight for me.

psn is SuperJohnJohn. fave war story. so i was playing control on black shield, i have moderate skill at this game and we were down in pointage so a see the enemy is taking point b. so I run up and see two titans and a hunter i'm thinking "crap what am i going to do, so i jump up really high and throw my nova bomb. if you have ever seen someone through a rock at a group of squirrels it is quite hilarious. the three enemies jumped up and fled like germaphobes out of a morgue, they tried to escape but they died. it was quite funny.
