No incentive to reach rank 5
Bring back rank related packages! We want loot!!
Edit: Because people seem to think I was born yesterday and play destiny with my eyes closed. Once you reach rank 5 once, there is no incentive to reach rank 5 on another character. Also if you are like me and already have a god roll clever dragon you may be uninterested in the vendor roll. Therefore, we need rank 3 and 5 packages.

There is never an incentive to this game unless you grasp the concept of rng. The incentive for iron banner is the drops and the rolls on the guns and gear that drop.

Yeah I was kind of thrown off when I didn't see those packages popping up. Because I mostly used them to up the amount of strange coins I had at the time.

Its better this way overall. Plus rank 3 gear that you can purchase is Tier 12 gear.

Got the IB sparrow, hand cannon, pulse rifle, fusion, another machine gun, two leg armor pieces, gauntlets, and IB cloak all at 398+ (hand cannon dropped at 400) in just playing for two hours last night. Bring back the packages wouldn't be a bad thing though.

3 Repliesagree 100%. while I wouldn't consider my Clever Dragon "God roll", it has perfect balance, HC rounds and glass half full. works for me! why grind from rank 4 to 5 where the only way to get rep is to win matches? not worth it.

Removing the rank 3 drop - great. I still think something should be done when you get to rank 5. It could be as simple as you get the glowing effect of the year one nightfall. Something that is rewarding, but not a big deal.

10 RepliesAlthough I agree, you have to realize they added guaranteed gear drops when you complete the bounties. Before where you got 2 items, you now get 4. I'd say 4 is better than 2. Do you see what they did there? They should have just removed the ranking in iron banner tho if all you had to do was complete bounties.

1 ReplyYou know what the best part is? Rank ups don't matter, so winning doesn't matter. I've just been screwing around in most of my matches since drops are given out like candy out of a white van. I've seen a couple people complain about having to carry the rest of their team through Iron Banner and I'm just thinking, "You don't have to. What they do doesn't matter since the outcome doesn't even matter. Just chill out and throw the game." xD

1 ReplyI'm fine with the loot drops after matches...they seem to be great. What I'm on the fence about though is the lack of communicating this to us. Unless I missed something online ..I don't recall seeing that they were changing the loot drops at ranks 3 and 5. That's all we are asking for. I still believe that there was a stealth nerf to 3 of coins as well...I don't care what anyone says! Too much of our money has been literally thrown at this game for them not to be more transparent to us by now.

People aren't happy unless they have something to bitch about. After folks have a few minutes to comprehend what's happening now with IB, they will realize that this is a better system with better and more loot than before.

7 RepliesAlso when you reach rank 3 you get an armor piece from her, rank 5 gets you a weapon she IS NOT selling. plus the 4 bounties which each give 2 random armor pieces and 2 random weapons. Plus you can do this on all three characters! Wow! that's a lot of stuff

The only reason to do IB is hope you get high LL drops to infuse. Other than that, nothing to gain by getting to rank 5.

I think it's fine, to be honest. All four bounties give you a reward and they're incredibly easy to complete. I was able to complete all four bounties and reach rank 5 in about an hr and half on Tuesday on my Warlock and then about the same amount of time yesterday on my Titan. I plan on doing the same thing on my Hunter today after work. Also, the match rewards have been great these past two IB. Legendary items have been dropping more frequently and with good rolls at that. I also love that it drops old IB gear. My warlock looks like its Y1 version now after getting the Iron Regalia Vestments and Boots.

9 RepliesWhat? You must be kidding... this is the most generous IB that I've played. About every 3rd game I'm picking up at least 1 legendary item that's +1-2 my light level. Every bounty completed is an item that is +1-2 my light level.... I'll take this all day long vs an item at level 3 and 5.
