No incentive to reach rank 5
Bring back rank related packages! We want loot!!
Edit: Because people seem to think I was born yesterday and play destiny with my eyes closed. Once you reach rank 5 once, there is no incentive to reach rank 5 on another character. Also if you are like me and already have a god roll clever dragon you may be uninterested in the vendor roll. Therefore, we need rank 3 and 5 packages.

1 ReplyBounties gave me five fusion rifles last time (with one heavy) and four sidearms this time (plus bad shotgun/sniper). Random drops not actually randomised, all infusion bate.... In fact aside from one heavy weapon, all bounties have been special weapon drops, only rank five rewards last time gave me the god pulse rifle and decent hand cannon....

Rank 3 was worthless - an artifact that is below your current one, a blue engram and some motes and coins. You call that incentive? Honestly, I've seen plenty of people not even bother running back to the Tower to claim it. That's how valued it was. Rank 5 - almost always a disappointment. Hours/Days worth of grinding for [b][i]a single chance[/i][/b] of a higher light item. A ghost that's also lower than the one you already have, and some more coins and motes. Wow, I am blown away. I've gotta lie down for this. Can't wait to grind my ass off this package. *rolls eyes* Now? That same, single opportunity you had at Rank 5 now has a chance after [i]every [/i]match, and balances out to about 1 in 3-5 matches. Plus the [i]guaranteed[/i] loot from the bounties. You wanted more loot, right? Well, you're getting it, in much higher quantity than ever before. So STFU. Edit: Played 11 games of IB today. Turned all 4 Bounties, plus had about 6 legendary drops. That was good enough for going up 4 light levels from 383 to 387. If this isn't enough loot for OP, I don't know what else to tell him. And it's not just raining loot, it's raining [b][i][u]QUALITY LOOT.[/u][/i][/b]

Is it just me or once you reach rank 5 clever dragons dont drop anymore? I was getting 1 every 4 games before rank 5.Once i hit rank 5 all im getting is ghosts, heavies and armor.

I completed the arsenal bounty and got the crappy shotgun. Then I did the marathon and got the same crappy shotgun...not a very good use of my time tbh.

This gave reason to level up each character to that. Why are we saying "remember Y1, etc"? We are getting less rewards then last month's which was considered the best banner to date. Would 2 more rewards per charecter break the game? Wouldn't you want a reason to grind to rank 5 on all 3 characters instead of to 5 on one and 3 on the others?

3 RepliesRead the new update I've gotten about 13 primaries 7 heavy and 2 special plus tons of armor, artifacts, ghosts, and class items by you guessed it doing the bounties lol. Quit complaining and realize they've made it way more rewarding you idiot. You entitled youth are pathetic and the result of being handed everything in life. #noparticipationmedals Sorry they were all 400 too lol it's raining loot

The only reason i wanted to reach rank 5 was for the clever dragon which I wouldn't even use much because hand cannons are my thing now, but I have gotten some rolls as post match drops which are better than the vendor roll. I still hit rank 5 though.

Last night grinding IB I got 4 machine guns at 400 light. Totally worth the grind. However after over 20 matches not a single clever dragon. So I bought the vendor one.c it is AWESOME. Thanks to IB, I got to 400 light on my Warlock. So stoked!

The reason they got rid of the rank packages and daily bounties was because they wanted to be more considerate of our time playing, especially with a timed event that not everyone has time for. They increased the drop rates to compensate and be more rewarding anyway

Unless you want the vendor clever dragon, there really is no incentive to reach rank 5 anymore Last night I finished off all four of the bounties on my hunter, but when I checked my rank I was literally only just past rank 3?! Seeing as I got a very decent roll on the clever dragon last IB (identical roll to blind peridition) I really cba playing it any more my hunter to get to rank 5, im just gonna swap characters and do the bounties again

I believe that's as intended. A lot of changes with rise of iron have been to let you play on the character you want. Not having to grind all 3 to rank 5 is a good thing, you can stick with the character you prefer for more of the time and you get 4 rewards now instead of 1.

Give this idiot his 3 and 5 packages. I'll keep my FOUR pieces of gear that come ~5 levels above my current light that I can collect in maybe s quarter of the time and I'll do it on all three characters. And on the way I'll keep the rewardingly rewarded postgame gear too

4 guaranteed packages are better than 2. If it's that big of a deal then don't play once you've done your bounties
