I Just Think Its Funny That...
Everyone snipes in Trials and no one bats an eye, but everyone shotguns in Supremacy and people lose their minds.
I hate to say it, but each game mode in Destiny is about adapting. This one is no exception.

Edited by Rebellis: 10/9/2016 12:15:37 PMThe pace is slower in Trials or 3v3 matches, so while people do snipe a lot it is more tolerable. It's also easier to counter snipers with primaries like high impact scouts, flanking, or just staying out of sniping lanes. In Trials, it's always fireteam vs fireteam so there is always communication. In a casual event with no freelance option such as Iron Banner Shotgun, pubstomping is real and a lot of solo players/small fireteams are getting destroyed. There is also the issue of Destiny's network lag that at times doesn't lend itself well to this type of run, shotgun, and pick stuff off the ground game mode.

16 RepliesExcept snipers just got nerfed more then they should of and now shotguns are way OP and need to be nerfed as well. And the reason people get made is because shotguns take zero skill and sniping takes skill.

hum... seems like no land beyond / shotgun is the best loud-outs for elite players since any other primary are weak and are dodged easily,

10 RepliesFair point, but iron banner is supposed to be available to all players because it's an event, and it forces you to use 1 of like 5 shotguns and play a certain way, snipers, fusion players, even passive players with scouts and high impact pulses are punished, iron banner supremacy forces you to use a matador style shotgun and close range primaries like hand cannons (especially hip fire spray last word, because everyone loves fighting that). No problem with supremacy, I just don't like it but it has a place, iron banner supremacy doesn't have a place, best iron banner was still iron banner clash.

1 ReplyRunning care free with a shotgun is just stupid. Do you know how many times I've had a guy run at me with a shotgun while I shot at him with my primary this week? It's utterly embarrassing. Don't you guys have any pride? Hopping at someone just to shotgun/melee them is the cheapest way to kill in this game. And this iron banner is filled with shameless shotgunning idiots.

I've lost count of how many times a player has been able to shrug off any amount of primary fire, close the distance and one-hit me with a shotty this Iron Banner. Scouts, Autos and Pulse Rifles just don't seem to have a low enough TTK to down these players before they've closed range. My highest scoring matches were a result of using a shotty like a primary.
