Next in line of nerfs lol. People still forget bungie uses data to nerf guns. The more u use the faster it will be nerfed.

I can stop a shotgunner from closing distance and as long as I keep moving the massive amount of flinch that thing hands out keeps me nice and safe. This sidearm already beats the base range of Matador, by 10 points. Add in rangefinder and you get another 3.3 points to range and 20% longer drop off range, although you likely will never be far enough out to see that drop off. With the high rate of fire I can dump half a mag before they even close the gap, the other half finishes them off. Like I said though a double range perk Matador could give you problems, but this particular sidearm operates well outside of a shotgun's effective range.

20 RepliesEdited by DEADLAZER05: 10/6/2016 1:22:19 AMThe problem is everyone using evasive abilities like shadestep, and blink with the hunter or juggernaut and twilight garrison with the titans. Warlocks have blink and a really long super with a long melee all promoting shotgun use more since the nerf to snipers and combined that with med to short range maps with very few sniping spots and a lot of cover no wonder why the crucible is pretty dumb right now for snipers. all bungie has to do is make more open area maps with some cover spots and is big not as big as combined arms but fair. Plus bring down nirwen mercy archetypes down to 10% and bringing down some abilities down a peg and we got a good thing going

Pair that with unstable connections and it gets pretty rough to stop them with a primary.

6 RepliesThe high impact shotguns need taken out of the game and then the special weapons would be balanced. Seriously though. The other shotgun archetypes might be the most balanced weapon class in the game. The impact on the matador/felwinter archetype breaks shotgun balance

44 RepliesShotguns aint the problem. Its the light levels tbh. Too many people are above normal raid level already which is ridiculous. It literally take no effort to become that level. They just played strikes or farmed omnigal. 365-375 is where people should be at RIGHT NOW. But bungie have to give these scrubs a hand and let them roll into IB thinking they are gods because their shotguns one hit you from further range than usual.

As much as I agree, I think this game type promotes close range, fast placed play due to the fact that you have to hoover up those crests. I may not enjoy it as I'm not very good with the shotgun, but I join in as that's what my team needs to win.
