I heard you can get to 365 with SIVA strikes. That's still not enough for the raid, according to others. So how are you supposed to get raid-ready?!

Edited by PlasmaSoldierX: 10/3/2016 1:50:06 PMOne issue with rise of iron has been the gap between certain modes and the recommended light. One case is going from normal siva strikes to heroic, you can only get up to 340 when the recommended is 350. Heroic siva can get you to 365 via boss drops and any legendary, exotics, or chest rewards. But at 365, your only options are: -nightfall rewards -faction rewards -skeleton key rewards -exotic engrams. The benefit however is, if you have the patience, you can get higher, but its a very very stingy system. You can raid at 365, but if you feel you want more reinforcement (also just due to the community having logs up their butts) You can grind for exotics fairly easily by doing the tomb of iron mission on hard difficulty. All you have to do is get to the end, pop a three of coins, kill the remenant of felwinter and then either gheon or jolder, and then just die and rinse and repeat. Only kill 2 of the infected guardians, not the third. Do hard just because there is a slighter chance for it to drop more there than on normal. But you will be able to save a few exotic engrams and level up with the classic trick of start with the lowest gear and swap out or infuse the exotics into other gear, do it and you will slowly rise. This will take some time and patience, and plenty of 3 of coins, but in my opinion, the payoff is better than grinding vangaurd and faction rep for general crap out of your control. Exotics have a much greater chance to become something you need, and even then you may find something you didnt have before. I managed to find a 370 truth, given that siva captains have void shielding, I think I found my heavy hitter to bring into the raid, given my armor I can hold 8 shots from this beast. I currently hang at 369-371 for the gear I use, but I may go till I have at least a little more, just till I get my three of coins out of the way so the raid rewards themselves will be better.

Do the strikes and equip anything that is higher than what you have equipped. Skeleton keys, faction rank up packages, Shaxx weekly bounties, trials bounties, random drops in crucible all drop up to 385. Always equip higher gear when receiving rewards including decrypting engrams. Random blues can decrypt in exotics above 385. When running strikes or crucible run boosters. You can power level factions with materials.

You can raid at like 360 easily, just make your own group. Go to recruitment and type "need 5 for fresh raid, 360+" and wait for the friend requests

Edited by marlo321: 10/3/2016 1:53:56 PMhope you have 1000+ motes of light. I burnt through every mote I had and jumped up several light levels

Edited by SOB BADD0GGIE: 10/3/2016 1:54:09 PMExotic Engrams, strike chests, Crucible rewards, vendor packages, Nightfall...pretty much anything that could be considered "endgame" will drop rewards up to or higher than 385. I'm pretty close to 374 and I haven't touched the new raid yet. Correction, I AM 374. I guess I forgot about the increase yesterday.

I did a raid with with a 351 last night and with grinding rep for packages skeleton keys and exotic engrams I was able to get to 370 before the raid dropped 370+ gets really slow but with iron banner this week you should be able to gain a few light

Faction packages.

365 is just fine for everything but Aksis phase 2. Even still, if you and your group are very well coordinated, you can do the final boss with a couple of 365's.
-
My first run of the raid was 354 Play crucible nice consistent drops
-
364 is raid ready
-
5 Replies360+ can easily be raid ready if everyone can communicate well, simple as that.
-
You can also PvP and level factions in order to farm light fast.
-
i raided for the first time this weekend. carried a 339 light guy up until the final boss phase 1. but team struggled with the captains.. i was running to each location raze lighting them since it was too much of a struggle for the other guys...
-
4 RepliesYou're ready with 350. 365 is for the raid boss
-
I had a team of 5 360 and one 349. We got vosik down to the "V" in his name but then I (right side ball thrower) got distracted on helping out middle teams captain. Went back for my ball and the thing blew up in my hands. It's possible with a good team!
-
I raided yesterday at 358. We got all the way to aksis part 2 until we began to struggle, that's when we decrypted our engrams from the whole raid.
-
Completed the raid with a 355 if you're 360+ you are fine.
-
It is raid ready

Just start your own group and state it's a run to increase light lvl. Just don't be too picky with the light lvls you invite. Sounds like a pain in the ass, but really you'll find people quick they're many people in the same boat as you. Then just basically go as far as you can, you should be able to get to phase 2 with no real issues.

Edited by Guymush: 10/3/2016 11:32:37 AMRaid ready to me is 355 because thats around where i did it and final i need to be 365 with 2-3 370s. As long as you can carry your weight that is

Legendaries in crucible, strike specific legendaries and exotics come out higher than 365.
-
Finished it with 3 people at 361 or less. Its not that bad.
-
I finished the raid with a group consisting of a 365, 367, 368, 368, 369, 365. So it's possible, just have to look for the right team. IMO I think this raid is more skill based than anything else.
-
Entrance recommended light is 350. First boss recommended light is 360. You can start the raid and get some gear on the way eve with a team not at 370 light.

1 Replyfs need 4 get in here whoevers up

You people constantly complaining about not meeting lofty raid requirements are tiresome. There's plenty of 365+ raid groups looking on the forums for more.
