Beating Aksis Is Difficult But NOT Impossible ;)
I will receive any negativity from the comments , I don't mind. I'm in a predicament.
Started on raid day got up to the final boss, couldn't beat it on a blind run at 360.
Tried few more times with lfg groups still no budge.
Its either the slams are not being completed or cannons are being wasted.
Fast forward to now light 373, most groups are asking for emblems or completions, I totally understand. So I find a different group again its random its either you find people that don't know whats going on, or you meet people who rage quit after the very first wipe. Also there's time where we all are above 370 but the dps is terrible , I cant even explain that, I saw a weapons bubble and a tether.
I'm not saying I'm perfect. I went back and learnt the mechanics and leveled up so I don't die anymore through out the whole fight. Just I think its impossible at this stage.
#update : thanks guys I just played up to the final boss and I'm hoping to try again this weekend. I do understand its just the first week. Maybe when I have higher level groups clearing it will be easier. Going to just grind to level up first.
#update 2 lolz still haven't beaten it. I'm getting there slowly. Although damn I came close today 4 times we had him on the last phase just not enough dps we had on him. The group was 2 370s 3 360s and one 350... ;( Well at least I know now titans are so easy to jump and run. I jumped to the other side killed my servitor got back with empowerment, slammed him twice left then middle, and popped weapons of light for the team, and then shot the boss holding down R2.
FINAL UPDATE: Good news.. I finally beat it then I beat the whole raid in 2.5 hours. I am happy i got the exotic quest as well. I have faith in the community as well because I beat it with people from this thread.
All of you were right , once you communicate and people are saying "empowered left, right, need someone on the right , left,etc it becomes easy you know exactly where you needed and have to run."
I am now 383 so we burn the boss fast as well if highest level picks up a canon.

i was playing it with some friends earlier today and we spent 4 hours and still didn't beat him, but it was fun. no one was yelling, we were just cracking jokes.

Just need 1-2 seconds in between shots. -Empowered guardians either don't run the cannons and stay or they run the cannons and stay where they down their servitor. **- I find it better that non empowered guardians grab the cannon because then they can put all the cannons in the middle after killing the servitor without having to worry about being out of positions. - call out when you are throwing the ball if it's not crunch time: this gives the empowered guardians enough time to get into position - right and left empowered guardians cover front middle 1 guardian for the back spawn. (The back spawn is up high and hard to jump up to at times) - don't stand to close to where the boss teleports cause you can get stuck under his legs or just flat out die. - two tethers are better than one - primary/sniper during the first short damage phases - young wolves howl works well to kill captains and also weakens the boss for the fire team - Sleeper Stimulant is more effective than G-Horn head to head Aksis dps - best possible dps is Raid Rocket Launcher (max ammo is 8 shots) paired with black spindl - Warlocks should be stacking Viking funeral on boss. -if Titan survivability isn't an issue than two weapons bubbles in different locations can help. - if Aksis doesn't spawn on your side on the last damage phase you should be moving to the weapons bubble and grabbing a cannon

2 RepliesI see you have the emblem so I assume you managed to do it? I'm having the same issue though. Get to aksis and it all falls apart. Everyone just leaves. Going to try and find a group that is on him. And Tuesday I will run it again so I can grab the exotic pulse quest. Luckily that day I will have the whole day to spend on it.

Took my team 3 hours and nobody left. The feeling of finally killing him was glorious.

If something shifts on the field and everyone is responding and looking where the rest is going, you'll get one hell of a smooth fight because everyone is on it. And most important, people need to rely on their own weapons. If you go and shoot Aksis with your primary, you're not playing your part dps wise. Kicking people will mostly not work because a failure mostly isn't because one person doesn't do their job, it's because multiple people don't. So the better players cannot close the gap for them. I mostly leave the team if I see no way of completing it with them. If I see progress, I stay. And finally, fatigue. If you're on that same fight for two hours, you'll get unfocused and demotivated. You'll make mistakes because of that.

With a team of all 360/370 and one 380 we had him to fifty percent in two phases. It's all a matter of teamwork, timing and uaing your tools most efficiently. Woth the cannons you can see the bomb pulse, let go rihht after that and it'll give you the most efficient, high damage output for the cannon. Staggering your tethers works very well. Shoot one as soon as he is slammed, then after 4-5 seconds fore again. All teammates using the memory of skorri, and producing orbs will make it very difficult for the team to not have their supers ready.

1 ReplyPeople don't use the cannons properly. Most of the DPS comes from them. So many times I turn around at the damage phase just to see 2 of 3 cannons lying there. That or they just spam shots for 3000 damage a shot, or they waste them by using them when the boss isn't tethered.

3 RepliesSorry to hear. The raid is definitely communication-intensive. The biggest problems I see are either people not talking enough or talking too much. Brief, clear callouts should always be established before going into the second phase of Aksis. I've seen groups above 370 fall apart simply because they can communicate quickly. The best thing you can do is to stay calm, know your role, and speak only when you need to. And hey- if you're on PS4, shoot me an invite sometime if you ever need another guardian. My friends and I are always down to help.

1 ReplyHonestly if you and your team were above 370 then dps shouldn't have been an issue at all unless one of your teammates miss throwing the siva cluster and wasted a dps phase. If you can get the communication down as to: Who's empowered and what side and balance the sides out if needed Who's picking up the canon -who needs assistance with their captain (mostly middle in my experience) What servitor is on each side Then your good to go with the encounter. As far as DPS Weapons and Tethers and Sunstrike melees make a difference but also make sure everyone is using the remaining canons. Really [b]communication[/b] is the biggest factor and then [b]DPS[/b].

Ironically, I just got out of a raid carry. And have done multiple raid carries in the past week. Honestly don't understand what the issue is. The first time was difficult because of DPS purposes, but if you can do the proper DPS, it's not that hard and fairly forgiving. #TitanMasterRace

4 RepliesThe key to Aksis Phase 2 is knowing that you have more time than you think. Hold the 3rd bomb until it is about to explode. Use that time to make absolutely certain your empowered people are in their proper spots. Empowered people do not need to dps much on first stun. Make sure they are moving first, dps is an afterthought for them on first stun. The exotic swords and Cannons do beastly damage with weapons of light and tethers. There you go.

I was going in a group, we had been in party for about 10 minutes before starting. talking about the raid, etc. Once we got into the game, we shoot his chest to start it and, jokingly, I said " what's going on, he's immune to my shots" Guy that hadn't said a word for the whole time, just left the fireteam. Apparently some people don't like jokes. We got one other person in, beat it on second try.

What I found out while raiding is people can get easily distracted and that can cause wipes. Also, when Hard Mode arrives, a death will become VERY detrimental, so staying alive should be priority, that means not pushing in for that heavy while enemies are still there. ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

15 RepliesMy fireteam is I having a bit of trouble as well. We get to last encounter, no prob. But can't get any damage on the guy. I've tried several loadouts and we just can't get there. We'll complete 3 rounds and almost nothing will be gone. I don't get it. Saved a cannon for 3rd teleport and it said it was doin 2700 damage. We're all LL 368 and up. What do y'all hit him with? I'll take any constructive criticism at this point.

Pro tip, save scorch cannons for 3 phase, u will have hunter tether and a bubble and can hit up to 120,000 dps, nothing comes close to the scorch cannon

You'll get it. I still haven't beaten it yet either just due to work and time. A lot of people haven't beaten it or even done it yet. Hopefully, this week I'll get it done and be able to run my other characters through it and friends/clan members through it.

The siva raid completion emblem is the one every one looking for to be invited to a party but now people believe that another emblem which is the 4th monitor diamond puzzle emblem also meant that they completed the raid . Just try to get that emblem you don't even need to activate other monitors just theat monitor alone would be enough for the emblem and then go to lfg and say already completed the raid. People would invite you if you have the diamond emblem

Took this random group I found one shot on every encounter in the raid. I can't say that is true for my usual raid group.
