Stumbled across a two man fireteam on heroic strikes. The whole time they were sitting down and not doing anything until I received a message from one of them saying "Leave". I didn't reply and I left because I didn't wanna waste my time. But the question is why do people do this? I was just trying to raise my light level. I was the only one who was actually doing something. And it wasn't the omnigul strike, I doubt they will be farming for something on the cabal strike.

At least they didn't waste your time. I did some strikes a few days ago. Three times had people sit AFK. Two times had people whose definition of fun was trying, and badly failing, to hit me with Sparrows. Finally got a good fire team and actually made some progress.

Edited by WestieBarks: 9/27/2016 2:34:14 AMI don't know, me and a friend of mine just did the awoken dance in front of some folks who went A.F.K in a raid once. We were all making fun of them after that. Oh, where did all those good times in the vault of glass go?

1 ReplyYou should have sat down with them
-
I ignore, i will finish my mission, with or without their help.

I would have sat down.

Playing with 2 man Fire teams is always the worse in any game mode. Especially if it 2 noobs who are not sure what they are doing.
-
I would have no problem with it as long as they explained themselves. Just saying "leave" is a douche move.
-
I give them this message " .!.." And kill sheet if they want to leave leave
-
I would've sat my ass down with them and done something else in the meantime. -blam!- that shit.

People are just Dicks in general
-
If I ever find this I'm gonna sit next to them silently until they break
-
Probably little kids....brats. Late at night folks are much nicer on strikes. Report them next time and then block them.
-
This is why I'm begging Bungie to implement optional matchmaking on strikes. Hopefully they see posts like this and intervene. I'm definitely not holding my breath on it however.

3 RepliesDid you just assume their gender? "Two man fireteam"
-
1 ReplyWho cares, just do whatever you like
-
3 RepliesWhat platform are you on? I run strikes all the time and would be more than happy to run with you.
-
1 ReplyBlock em. Then just run around in circles . Put a goofy dance move emote on and watch them start raging . Worth the wasted time IMO.
-
3 RepliesPerhaps they were waiting on someone to join them and you took that space.
-
I've had this happen but it's whatever. I'm nice about it because I know I'll just get into a different strike next time and they are waiting on a friend to join. Doesn't ruin my play time and I don't want to ruin theirs either.

Ye they prob wanted to bring their friend and didn't wanna lose their streak. Fuck em
-
It could be they were doing it with a friend and he got disconnected so they decided to wait for him to reconnect
-
1 ReplyNot came across this yet. If I do, I'll just solo it until they leave.
-
For some reason this is still going on, many people either don't wanna play with others. Or they believe better loot with less. Or just aholes. Most likely, I still get it all the time I just keep playing if they leave solo till help arrives or you clear it.

Wow dude I had the very same thing happen to me on an Omnigul strike on Saturday. During the day I was asked to leave 2 other times on strikes that jerks who were waiting for friends. On one strike I spawned just before the last room and one of the guys asked to join his fireteam. Ok I figured that they may be farming, or had some special game plan so I joined and bam he kicks me. I was really pissed off. Why be dick? No doubt he figured that they had gone this far . . . why share the glory? What the hell we don't pick where we spawn into. I have had plenty of guys spawn into areas after I have done the heavy lifting and could care less (good for them).
