Bungie defends ghost rounds?!?!? Special Ammo is a problem.
So not if primaries weren't weak enough! Bungie decides to defend its ghost round idea. So basically if you're like me and actually use your primary, you're at a disadvantage. That RNG!!, not "gun skill" determines if you get a kill with it or not.
Bungie... WHAT THE FLYING -blam!-?!?!?!
I refuse to use the crutch weapon. A.K.A Shotgun. The weapon that takes zero skill to use and a monkey with no arms and no legs can get a kill with. I know all you scrubby shotgun users are going to call me "salty" and to "get good" and "ohh i have no problem with it. You have to adapt" and blah blah blah. Go right ahead! It doesn't bother me one bit. All you're doing is contributing to the problem that is special ammo in Destiny.
Don't get me wrong. I love the game and have played it religiously since the beta. Shotguns are no where near as over powered when it was nothing but the snipershotgun known as Felwinter's Lie with rangefinder and shotpackage on it. That was everyone's primary weapon. But seriously. What is it with Bungie and shotguns? They're still overpowered as -blam!-!
BUFF PRIMARIES OR LIMIT SPECIAL AMMO!!! SPECIAL AMMO IS THE PROBLEM WITH THIS GAME! The first match of the 'MLG reveal', it took 7 MINUTES for the first person to get a kill with a primary weapon. Before that it was noting but shotguns. SHOTGUNS EVERYWHERE!! WTF?!?!? Lets face facts here. The only reason it is 'MLG' now is because Activi$ion owns MLG and they want to cash out. It's understandable. They're a business and need to make money. But special ammo is the #1 reason this game will never be balanced.
Go on! Throw out your 1st grade insults shotgun kids. By doing so you show where the problem is.

If you worked more on making a good debate and less on being a douche then people might be more accepting of what you're trying to say. I agree with most of what you say, but don't go calling other people kids when you need to grow up yourself.

There were more primary kills than secondary kills in that MLG event.

3 RepliesAs a player who has used shotgun since beta I can tell you that shotguns have never been worse. One of the most inconsistent weapons I've used in a while. You can map someone or you can point blank them in the chest and do 14 damage. Yea they're easy to use but at higher levels of play those fine margins get you murdered.

Yeesh, talk about your scrub posts. Pistols aren't long range weapons, if that matters to you either close the gap, pace your shots or use a scout rifle. This isn't hard, you're trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole instead of just using a scout rifle.

If you whine about shotguns saying [i]"They are easy to use !"[/i], fight me in Rumble, and try to kill me with a primary while I am rushing you. 4 RepliesShotguns are not over powered. We have been in a year long sniper meta. Shotguns agility is bullshit and they have ghost bullets as well, many times you hit a guy in the face and they take no damage. Shotguns never sniped. I was there and beat the lie with found verdict all the damn time. They never killed from more than what would be 20 yards. All that felwinter sniper stuff just sounds like the cries of a whiny bitch. Adapt, that's what snipers said, after they ruined shotguns, hand cannons, pulse rifles, and had stagger rounds removed from mida.

They already nerfed special ammo. I die from primary weapons a ton. Stop tilting your head at shotgun barrels.

1 ReplySpecial ammo is not a problem. It's Bungies consistent nerfing of primary weapons. The more you nerf primaries, the more people will rely on special weapons. So you were half right. Buff primary weapons.

Maybe the problem isn't what people are using or how much they use it, but that you aren't good enough to counter it

The problem is tiny maps. Most maps are small with blind corners, choke points etc. In those situations why do anything other than go for quick kills?

You're only at a disadvantage if you're using your primary outside of its intended range. Also, you've been here since beta, but you don't know that you can't have range finder & shot package at the same time?
