The Vast majority of this games current balance problems are the result of the fact that primary weapons kill too slowly relative to the speed at which Guardians can move.
But Bungie is too commited to this notion of preserving a "Haloesque" TTK. Despite the fact that Guardians move at near-Titanfall speeds....and the game has a weapons system with more in common with Call of Duty than with Halo.
Until such time as Bungie is willing to deal with the ROOT of the problem----and allow primaries to kill faster-----, snipers were a problem branch that had to be pruned back.[/quote]

Stop trying to make this COD.
Increased flinch was needed, and it isn't going to punish you for landing your shots.

Big gap between where this game is right now....and where Call of Duty is. Every Year one player knows that the TTK in vanilla Destiny was faster than it is right now, but was nowhere near as fast as CoD. But it was fast enough to allow primary weapon users to stand their ground against shotgun rushers. To pressure snipers into backing down if they encroached beyond their own weapon's optimal range...and punish fusion rifle users who miscalculated. In short....all the Vanilla game needed to balance it was to have range drop offs to give each weapon an optimal range. But instead---in order to replicate Halo in a game that had NOTHING of the things that allowed halo to work----has lead to a host of balance problems that Bungie can't seem to get a handle on. ..and will NEVER get a handle on as long as the TTK is 0.8 seconds. A good Titan skater can be a third of the way across most of the maps in this game in that span of time.
