Back in the early days of year one, during the bladedancer's reign of terror, warlocks and titans had a sort-of psedo allaince if not good friendship. We found companionship amongst our mediocre at best subclasses and our similar tastes of nuking heavy spawns surrounded by the whole enemy team.
Looking back now however I can see our once glorious friendship is now in tatters. The first crack, was when my order stepped too close to home to titans with the ram, all was fine after the nerf thankfully and they let bygones be bygones.
Before TTK came out many warlocks and titans alike rejoiced that we would be getting our very own traditional roaming supers, however after release warlocks had to say yes to nerf but its was sad seeing their companion's new toy broken in the unuseable way.
The later meta faired no better. With the titans now feeling betrayed, held nothing back when the huntards yelled nerf at sunsingers. The warlocks had no one to turn to, they may have said nerf to sunbreakers but even then many people titans, warlocks, and hunters alike cringed when they saw how much bungie bulldozed the sunbreaker. But alas bungie overnerfed, sunsingers had their wrings plucked, and they fell from grace.
However with sunsinger shattered and striker on death row, I believe titans and warlocks should rekindle their friendship to help each other face the possible hardships ahead. The new meta RoI will come with will be a strange and new one for certain, it would be good idea to have some friends.
Tldr: the friendship between titans and warlocks from early year one was broken from the recent year 2 meta shifts and we should bring it back to help each other throughout the future changes to destiny.
Edit 1: woo! second from the top!
Edit 2: I don't get why people think that just because I reference nerfs that this is about class balancing and wether or not nerfs were warrented, its supposed to try to get the two classes to get along like they used to, not this!
Edit 3: I always thought being on trending would be so awesome. I thought wrong.
Edit 4: Yes! Its dying come on just end this nightmare already.

1 ReplyTitans and warlocks were "friends" when they were bitching about Nighstalker and Bladedancer. Titans and hunters were "friends" when they were bitching about Sunsinger and Stormcaller. Hunters and warlocks were friends when they were bitching about Sunbreaker and now striker. Get my point? All classes bitch on each other. Whenever you "stand together" with another class, it's really just both of you bitching about the same thing.

reason i might wait to buy roi is because nerfs.

I'll just pick my friends based on who has my back in a raid or strike. Not based on who was an underdog. I generally rome the wilderness alone, even though I'm no hunter, my Titan allies have all gone away and my hunter friends are off in the crucible leaving me to fight off the darkness with my space magic alone.

2 RepliesDid you forget about The Ram and the rampant fire bolt spam with Thorn. Holy hell did titans have it rough in year 1. Also with multiple exotics not doing a damn near thing for the titans either. Striker was a general joke. And defender was barely viable. Hit detection on shoulder charge was terrible and who gives a -blam!- about skating when blink shotty was the meta.

7 RepliesEdited by RogueRossie: 8/7/2016 11:39:04 PMHunters, Titans and Warlocks. Yes, you can main one of them but in what world is it alright to hate on the other respective classes? If you are a Warlock or Titan, the resounding claim is that you are immediately the noble and sensible upper class people. If you are a Hunter main you are called names and told that all you do is cry and moan about everything, and are inferior to the other classes because of it. You're a Hunter main, you are absolutely, 100% a crying fun-hating bitch who wants to nerf everything that isn't Hunter so that Hunters can reign supreme. You want to nerf something? Must be a "Huntard" 100% of the time. You have a negative K/D, anything you say is immediately invalidated because you die more than you kill. You have a ELO below 1500, you have no skill and should never play PvP or recommend changes to it because your opinion is invalid. This is the message I've gotten from the best part of 2 years on the Destiny forums. It's just plain ignorant. It's a fricking video game, who cares of you have a negative k/d or what class you main. Why do Hunter mains get the blame for every nerf ever? Why are Titans the "master class" even though there are just as many Warlocks and Hunters out there? Why hate on someone for being different to you? Why invalidate a person because of a number? Get over yourselves. This is a forum. There will be nerf posts, some from Hunter mains, some from Titan mains and others from Warlock mains. Don't think a person below you because of a number or class they main. It's just stupid and ignorant. Edit: this wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just the cess pit that is the community of these forums.

1 ReplyI still don't understand why people were so upset about the Sunbreaker nerf. It was literally the most OP thing ever. Like, broken OP. Sure, Bungie nerfed it too hard, but still.

2 RepliesDamn ur alliance of evil. We hunters are true master of the traveler. Even the speaker is a hunter. Be ready to get wreck in roI.

everyone playing online especially crucible hates each other. Its even more prevalent in this game, with such a shitty community full of assholes that don't deserve to count as people

4 RepliesI'll tell you what. You just go ahead sticking with your buddy there. Titans and warlocks standing together is adorable. And the shadowshot pinning you in place with the void ashes of your dead buddy, or the solar explosion from your buddy's combustion that scorches you, or even the arc explosion that disintegrates you both, is just icing on the cake for the lone wolf Hunter you let sneak up on you.

Yet the hunters screwed up and now our whole class was generally nerfed Can we get in on this friendship tho?

I'm not sure what happened while i was gone that made sunsingers so obnoxious to get them nerfed in so many aspects. I feel that the Super is really lacking, solar wind seems broken, VF inefective, and HotPF is useless.

1 ReplyHey, I used Sunsinger for the first time yesterday since the latest patch to fix grenade damage and Sunsingers are good again. Not Viking Funeral good, but they're usable again. At least with solar grenades, I don't really use firebolts or fusions.

My best friend is a Titan. No worries pal :)

Striker on deaths row? I wish.....bastards need to get off my subclass

I remember the days when I would rejoice upon seeing warlocks on my team...but the turbulent nerfs of TTK changed everything. Now I ask if we were truly friends if all it hinged on was our inferiority

3 RepliesWell back in year 1, bungie didn't actually think when it came to class design regarding the striker, when the bladedancer got away with so much crap it was outright insulting, they didn't even need STR. Nowadays there are more variables and options, hell it took bungie around 2 years before something figuratively smacked them in the head to say, "guys striker is not up to par, it hasn't for a long time" I mean seriously, last fall sunbreakers were used in part BECAUSE so much of their abilities were like the strikers, but better and without the risk. Even today I play sunbreaker in then crucible because of the synergy advantage the sunbreaker has over the striker. Only reason it's good now is because it actually has more general enhancements but that's it. But as far as class balance goes, it's still dependent on the weapon Mets and how things go with the classes using them.
