You said you don't want to give them a tax write off. Someone said who cares if they get a tax deduction for doing something good. You said give directly instead. I said I'd rather buy a shirt for charity instead of giving my money directly to a sick child.

Why would you give it to a sick child? I mean that not all your money makes it to the charity. If you care about the cause you should give them your money........ Maybe I'm not saying that right?

That's how it is with every charity. Even nonprofits (which I believe the bungie foundation is) have bills to pay before they can give their donation money to their cause. The only way for every cent of your donation to go to a cause would be to give your money directly to it, in this case handing $30 to a sick child.

We are not even talking about the samething. Your worried about this sick kid analogy. I'm not even gonna get into that. All companies do this yes....... This does not make Bungie an evil empire...... I am not saying they are crooked or doing anything wrong.... I'm stating that all business get financial incentive that stretches beyond their donation. When I am happy with a company I help out as this helps all parties. When I am not happy with them I do not. If you really want to do things for sick children you can find a better way than a Tshirt. There are also many levels of donation and you are making a statement that seems to indicate you think they all work the same. They do not, however I don't care to get into that either. Just thought you should know.

Honestly, I'd buy the shirt for the emblem whether Bungie was donating the profits to charity or not. Bungie is doing something good when they don't have to, & that's that.
