It's a neat offer to celebrate Destiny's 2nd year and Bungie's 25th anniversary for giving to charity and for playing their games content. Your Moments of Triumph rewards are the 2 shaders and 2 emblems from the book, the shirt offer is optional.
I'm not sure if you guys understand what The Bungie Foundation does, but let me help enlighten you.
*prepares overused typical Destiny poster spoiler*
-They donated over 1,000,000$ that was raised through sales of the 'Pride of Nepal' shirt/shader sale to the Direct Relief fund.
-They granted over 30 Make a Wish wishes for ill children in 2015 alone, and they've been granting wishes since 2001. Ranging from room remodeling, top of the line spec gaming pc's, studio tours, and even a home DJ studio.
-The Bungie Foundation also has programs in partnership with Seattle Children's Hospital in where they provide iPads to the entire inpatient unit and the child specialists, providing iPad's to the Autism Center to help these children play games and connect with others, and upcoming programs oriented towards career and workforce preparation. (They are also partnered with 9 other organizations as well)
-All profits from purchases made in the Bungie Store in 2016, will benefit The Bungie Foundation to continue their efforts in helping children who are suffering by providing entertainment.
Now I've read quite a few posts with people saying some really nasty and snarky remarks about how it's a 'marketing ploy' to get your money because Bungie's greedy, blah blah, but I'm not going to point any fingers or call out names.
Instead, I hope the few of you who posted those comments read this, and really reflect on yourself and your character. This shirt isn't just a cash grab, its proceeds go to an awesome cause. It's a reward for those who have vested their time in Bungie's game who are willing to give their 30$ to these children who are unfortunate enough to suffer from terminal illnesses and handicaps. The best part is, is any profit from any purchase on the Bungie store on ANY item is going to The Bungie Foundation. But.. too many of you are too quick to jump to conclusions without researching the topic.
So before you go rushing around and spreading negativity, put a little thought into it. The world would be a much better place if we gave a little more to each other unconditionally. Consider this more of an incentive for a good cause. I hope some of you buy some Bungie loot, even if its only the 15$ pins. If they had a link open for a flat out donation, I'd still give.
I'll wear my Moments of Triumph shirt with pride knowing that my money went to a good cause, I may even buy more of the items I've been eyeballing knowing that the proceeds will be used in this manner.
Hope this clears some of these perceptions up. Who else will be acquiring the Triumph shirt or some Bungie merch to benefit The Bungie Foundation's cause?

2 RepliesWhy do people who play destiny everyday hate bungie so much lol. If you hate them quit playing/buying there games

1 Reply"Ugly, toxic, and uneducated"...,,,a true poet, but after reading some of the unintelligible replies below, I would change that to just plain "ignorant".

1 ReplyEdited by PopsAutismo: 7/8/2016 11:35:26 PMOne of these things will bring up your K/D In some way at some point. It's best to not give them attention. I just scoff and scroll past

The overwhelming stupidity and ignorance of the negativity towards a charitable foundation makes me want to throw up. Grow up and learn a few things about what charity is and isn't according to your laws before you mouth off about stuff you clearly know absolutely nothing about.

I bought the shirt.

1 ReplyWho puts the currency symbol after the amount? Yuck. lol

Its great, but be wary if you are an international customer. They take way too long to respond (the company that does their shipping etc, not Bungie itself) if something goes wrong. I was very frustrated with the service. I didn't get all the items I wanted and it took me a half year to receive to shirts. Also keep in mind you'll pay a lot for shipping and extra tax at the door. This leaves me hesitant to buy this, since they have a shitty company that handles their merch. But the products are great thankfully.

they just hate that they can't get it so they pull everyone who has done them down
-
7 RepliesI would definitely buy the shirt if I could. Bought the wife the iron gally tank top, and bought myself the soundtrack to get that emblem.
-
11 RepliesIt's another money grab from bungie, oh wait the charity gets 15 cents from each shirt....bravo bungie, your so gracious!
-
I think it's great that the money goes to charity, but I'd rather donate myself than buy a tshirt if that's the case people that think bungie is doing this out of generosity and kindness obviously don't know how the US tax system works

I'm disgusted by what you found. I'm thinking about looking at those post if their still their.
-
Wow! I can't believe the idiocy out their.

7 RepliesI bought the 7$ digital soundtrack to get that sweet emblem. The shirt I was going to buy but the shipping was 12$ which seemed extremely expensive. I think I got another emblem for getting the sound track. Also I saw people on eBay selling the emblem for 50$ anyone dumb enough to buy it for that amount deserves to be kicked in the d ick.

5 RepliesEdited by vphokie: 7/9/2016 4:06:32 AMThe shaders are awful. -blam!-ing awful. :( Why is this SO hard to get right?

1 ReplyThe problem with this specific donation is that we dont kwon what exactly it will be used for. Like the nepal thingy was clear. This one seems like a general fund raiser for the foundation and they will use it ways they seem fit. Like i wouldnt want my money to go to military uses .

1 ReplyRemember many in this community as well as gaming community is very immature, look at the death threats to female game critics! While it's a minority they are loud. They have some weird agenda to feel that bunjie has hurt them personally, and while sitting on their ass providing no help to anybody love to try and feel superior by having this know it all logic.
-
Only part i dont like about this is that i have to buy something from the shop to get a third shader. To me, this is a micro transaction. Spend real money to get something in game. I dont mind about that, just dissapointed that the MoT emblems arent that impressive comparing it to that emblem.

22 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 7/8/2016 9:56:35 PMIt's all Corporate marketing bullshit. Don't buy into it.. Learn business 101. Bungie's Foundation is bunch of garbage marketing ploy. Many corporations do this as a tax write off. In reality the cost of the donation is built into the price of the product. They mark up the item and then say they will donate a $1 or portion. Stop defending evil corporations that disguise their evil schemes in good ways just to make you feel good about doing something. When in reality you are lining their corporate pockets. Stop being so gullible.

8 RepliesI'm not gonna buy the shirt because I don't need one. But ill give my code away. Here it is: T16-VYG-L9K-NDR-GJ6-JKH Remember all money goes to charity.

1 ReplyDon't have any income, so I can't buy this round of shirts. I did buy a Nepal shirt though. Not trying to be one of the individuals who consider this to be a marketing ploy, but I was skeptical during the first round. It is common to hear about shady charities, so there was reasonable cause. I still liked the design of the T-shirt and shader, so I bought it anyway. I must say though, today I am happy (proud?) to be one of the people who helped raise the million for Nepal aid. I would buy this round, but as I said, no income.
-
Good post! I bought the shirt, mainly cuz that emblem looks sick and if i can help while doing so, it's even better

3 RepliesEdited by Unforgiven: 7/8/2016 11:12:44 PMBTW Handicap is not what they prefer to be called. Outdated; connotes that people with disabilities need charity. Disabilities dont handicap: attitudes and architecture handicap. The words we use to describe one another can have an enormous impact on the perceptions we and others have, how we treat one another, mutual expectations, and how welcome we make people feel. The following are guidelines for talking with, and about, a person with a disability. While these guidelines can be helpful, keep in mind the following: If you're unsure of the proper term or language to use, ask! The best way to refer to someone with a disability is the same way we all like to be referred to: by name.

7 RepliesIt's a reward you have to pay for, which turns it into something you want to buy Kind of like buying a gift for yourself......... Hmmm nah no thanks I'll keep my cash

17 RepliesLast time I checked that I could buy T-Shirts for less than $24.99. At my Local Walmart I can get 4 T-Shirts for that price. -blam!-ing rip off.
