More people need to bash Destiny
I truly want Destiny to be a good game, but I can't see this happening between now and Destiny 2. We can't allow them to sell us this overpriced content. For example remember when Destiny first came out and people were able to glitch into the Dark Below missions and the house of wolves missions on day one of the game being launched. Then the sold this to us for $20 a pop I mean how pathetic is that, and neither of those DLCs offered anything nearly worth $20 and I don't hear people talk about this anymore. Not to mention the taken King they sold to us for $40 and would give us maybe, $5 worth of content(This is an exaggeration) just not anything worth $40. Then they add micro transactions and at first I thought "oh this is probably good maybe they came to their senses and their heart has grown 3x that day and all the future dlcs will be free." But no they still want people to pay $30 for this rise of iron dlc, and of course it looks good but so did every other trailer for destiny.
[spoiler]In short I feel if you want destiny to succeed we need to bash the life out of it. I don't mean by asking for nerfs because that ends up making the game super stale[/spoiler]
Like I said in the beginning I want Destiny to succeed. Destiny is too far deep in this hole of crap it is dug itself into, but it isn't too late for destiny 2

3 RepliesHonestly i have not played destiny since christmas time and seeing the rise of iron trailer it made me realise something. Bungie is just flogging a dead horse. Unfortunately the community is able to see through all the things that deej and cozmo has said. You know there is something wrong when the community knows exactly what the creators are planning. My advice? Stop playing destiny and find a new game.

Bashing anything does not work. This is Bungies vision for this game. If it is not up to par, or to your liking, then you know where the door is. Bungie will never make everyone happy, nor can they make the perfect game. Just stop.

3 RepliesCan't afford $30 for DLC? Try lawn darts, or basketball. Video games aren't a hobby you can expect to get for free or at a Value Meal price point. Or, get more disposable income. Those are your options.

Sigh. Why are you bringing up year one here in year two? In year one, they did their DLC thing and people complained. They received negative feedback on it, so they chose not to follow that business plan in year two. Clearly, they learned and they adapted. It's entirely unfair for you to whinge about it here because it is an issue that was dealt with and won't be happening again. Your opinion on what TTK was worth is entirely your opinion. While you are entitled to it, not everyone has to agree. Looking at everything TTK added, as well as the live team working on the little seasonal events as well as frequent updates and fixes, 40$ is a very small price tag for everything that we got. You've had a full year of content for only 40$, as silver was entirely optional. Microtransactions are entirely optional, and went towards those free updates that we all got throughout the year. Going into Year 3 (while I still think the title of Year 3 should be reserved for Destiny 2, it makes sense) paying only 30$ for another DLC and, potentially more live events (that are free), for another year of gameplay or at least up until Destiny 2 comes out, that's actually pretty damn good. Why are you so entitled to think that they owe you free DLC? As for this "bash the hell out of them"... Are you new to the forums? Have you ever gone to #feedback?? Because that happens. I've seen people threaten to shoot up Bungie studios on multiple occasions, do you honestly not think that that isn't bashing them? Because that's a pretty serious threat to make. There are multiple well known trolls who don't play this game, who haven't played since year one, who abuse, ridicule, and harass players and fans of Destiny. Their only goal is to troll the forums, call Bungie developers names, insult fans, threaten lawsuits, and all in all acting worse than an entitled toddler throwing a tantrum in the middle of a store because mommy wouldn't buy them candy. So don't say that more people need to do it because a hell of a lot of people do. We don't need more negativity, we need more people to stop acting like Bungie owes them something.

1 ReplyIf your cheap ass doesnt want to pay what the company is asking for its product the answer is simple dont play anymore, download the countless free games available on tablets or smartphones. Long lasting companies like to turn a profit, would you work a full day if you only got paid the first hour? Yes some of the vanilla content (areas) was cut from original release but much of the content filli g these spaces had yet to be created just like every other open world game out there offering paid or free season passes they often follow this path just because people glitched into an area slated for dlc doesnt entitle them to it for free that is up to the companies to decide. The OP is a true sign of how spoilt and entitled people can be.

They never said microtransactions would fund dlc. They said it would fund the live team for events like srl and festival of the lost.

However I believe they are limping to the finish line with destiny. I believe they are just trying to finish destiny so they can move on to a better destiny 2 world.

Ttk was $5 worth of content? Sounds like Destiny might not be the game for you. There are companies that put out cheap or free dlc that you may be happier with. And destiny gets bashed plenty, which does little to help imo. Putting a well thought out post on what u want very well could benefit you and everyone. Bungie has used ideas off the forums before. Most of the posts are just sound like children throwing tantrums.
