Edited by bFLY: 6/19/2016 6:17:06 PMAlright now DMGRGN, you've had enough to drink. I'm cutting you off. Give me your keys, here is your coat, and your wallets in the front left pocket. Go home, you're drunk. ***Goes back to drying the same glass mug that I've been drying for hours, while shaking my head as you stagger out of my bar ***

I knew you were going to say that. Which is, all jokes aside, exactly what the facepalm was for. Cheerio.

Nah. Your bait's done. See ya.

It's an anime but okay you to old to understand.
-
"Anime" is analogous with "cartoon". That's not being derogatory, it's just stating.
-
Anime and cartoon are not the same yes they are both animations but influenced by a different culture.
-
Then why do they call it anime if it's just another type of cartoon, shouldn't we call it cartoons then?
-
I do call it cartoons, and I'm sure other people do too. All anime is cartoons, but not all cartoons are anime; you follow me? Anime is a sub category of a larger category called Animation, which is, as I've said, colloquially known as cartoons.
-
I think the biggest difference is that to make a cartoon show you need 15,000 - 20,000 dollars, to make an anime you need about 2,000,000 dollars.
-
Probably depends on the anime though. The high end ones that incorporate CGI i could see. But not some of the more run of the mill ones. But who knows. I've never been part of the animation business so i don't habe practical experience there.

I agree it can be wired and it is quite different from how western folks do it, but when you accept that rather small difference, there are a plethora of shows with many intresting and varied charecters, story's and landscapes. There are a few plaguing issues that prop from time to time, for example maybe the show never got finished, or depending on how you feel about it, fan survice can almost destroy a show depending on how they use it and finally the ending not living up to the hype the show had episodes before. Hmmmmm Netflix has a few anime's that are rather odd but quite enjoyable. Meh.
