I think I figured out the perks you need to solve ADS accuracy for hand cannons. Like most people I thought hand cannons were garbage and only a few could be useful. The other day in crucible I got a revelator with a range finder, hidden hand, and rifled barrel. I was skeptical that it would be usable in crucible because it's a hand cannon, but I tried it out anyway. I was blown away how responsive the gun was where I was aiming is where my bullets were going and I could kill people in 3 shots. You still can't spam the trigger, but if you pace your shots they go where you want which is great. I also got a lord high fixer with hidden hand and a range perk (can't remember it) and it was also a beast. So the perks you need to have an effective hand cannon in my opinion is a range boosting perk in the middle column and hidden hand.

Yup! Also if you can snag one with outlaw and reactive reload with a range booster in the middle, you will have a lot of fun. Really just reactive reload on any gun is amazing. I have a colovances duty that can two shot low armor guardians. And my eyasluna goes from a 89 crit to 114. It's beautiful.

1 ReplyI would have to agree. I have an Eyasluna with Reinforced Barrel and I was unsure of this perk because it removes some of the weapon's stability. Much to my surprise this hand cannon works much better. Pace your shots and you've got it made. Outlaw and Mulligan are also nice too.

1 ReplySounds reasonable. I have a finnalas peril with Spray and play Snapshot / explosive rounds / rifled barrel Hidden hand And it's easily the best roll I have on any hand cannon. I only really use it for pvp bounties though

2 RepliesThe water star I got this week has range finder, reinforced barrel, and hidden hand. It feels great to use. Almost feels as good as year 1 hand cannons
-
1 ReplyWhile I do agree this doesn't change the fact that hand cannons still need a VERY small buff in regards to accuracy and range. You shouldn't have to have a small set of perks in order for a weapon archetype to be viable.
-
1 ReplyOutlaw, rifled barrel, and LitC
-
2 RepliesLmfao. Braced frame or smallbore and rangefinder. Higher stability allows for faster follow up shots. No need to use a middle perk for range when the rangefinder perk can do the work for you and the biggest nerf to hcs was in their stability. All my relaibly fast paced hc's have max or near max stability.

My eaysluna True sight Luck in tc Rangefinder Hand loaded/less range more stability perk

My ideal roll would be lord/finalas/devil with sureshot/range/rifled/HH.Im close,my Finalas has sure/hot/rifled/HH.Thats my idea of the best pvp roll.

15 RepliesWelcome to the club. Some of us know handcannons are top tier and are arguably the best primaries right now. If you can maximize the range stat with rifled barrel or reinforced barrel, you're in business. Add another good perk or two, and possibly some aim assist and you have an amazing primary. Stability is VASTLY overrated for hand cannons. I have a Lord High fixer with rangefinder, reinforced barrel, and third eye. It has very low stability, but with practice, you can fire it at max fire rate and still be extremely accurate and hit shots from scout range.

Rifled Barrel or dismantling.

1 ReplyDon't even need a range perk. Hidden hand takes care of phantom bullets on its own. I frequently outgun doctrines and even Midas at range with my lord high fixer with hidden hand and braced frame. No range boost. Side note:also outgun eyesluna users who have rifled barrel, both at range and up close. Rifled barrel isn't as needed as people say it is.

4 RepliesEdited by TrulyDontCare: 6/11/2016 3:48:28 PMI've tried to convince people that phantom bullets were avoidable a few times every single time it's resulted in a flood of irate posts calling me names, insulting me, and generally trashing my name in any way they can. I've never seen something get people sooo pissed off around here. Some people just refuse to listen to anything that goes against what they already think. If you have a gun with good range it's helps a ton, as range is directly tied to accuracy. Those perks you listed are ideal. Also, like you said, you can't spam bullets. If you pay attention, the first shot is always accurate, but the subsequent shots can miss. That's because the gun needs to reset. Every shot needs to be deliberate and careful. They hit hard and that's just a trade off for that impact. Hand cannons are the current hard mode weapons. They're very powerful, but you need to use them well or they'll do you no good. If you use something with a low RoF like First Curse or Judith-D and aim well, every shot will land exactly where it should, no matter how quickly you fire. With FC you can actually aim a a person's knees at the right range and still land consistent headshots.
I totally expect people to get pissed over that. I'm over it, though. If you're getting angry that I don't agree with you, maybe try not being so sensitive. I'm open to disagreements, just not childish arguing.
-
I have a hidden hand rangefinder hammer forged hand cannon

2 RepliesI have about 4 of these and they rock. Just becarful. If you're aiming at a distance and someone pops in your view your bullets start missing.
-
Sureshot IS, rangefinder, icarus, rifled barrel, reinforced barrel, smallbore, hidden hand, third eye, army of one, and outlaw.
-
If you like those get first curse. Honestly the best hand cannon I've owned. It rewards good aim and stability, miss more than once though and the gun will not forgive, at least for close to mud quarters. Thing is a pocket sniper and my go to cannon

4 RepliesThe perks I need to make a Handcannons viable is...BWAHAHAHAHAHA, all Handcannons suck imo.
