I'm an Xbox360 player. I don't play many games, but I guess I'm going to upgrade for destiny. I'm stuck at a crossroads though.
Which should I buy? Xbox or PlayStation????

1 ReplyFor the best destiny experience go for ps4 since they get all them exclusives. But for overall? Xbox. You already have progress that can be carried over from your 360 and you can still play with your friends.

A lot of factors go into that decision. I hope i can help set some guide for you to make the choice. Friends matter. If you have really close friends on xbone and are waiting on ya, our will go with you. Or, if you don't mind finding friends all over. I'm sure you could even post your situation on these forums as others have done, and the friend requests will flood in to help you get stuff back in place. Which brings my next point, starting over. If you go from 360 to xbone, fairly easy to transfer data and keep your stuff. Not so much if you switch systems. Lastly, the exclusives. If you want them, only one place to get them. If they don't bother you at all, or if you don't want them in the least. Also, is what you play consistently destiny? If so, the exclusives might mean more. There may be other factors, but that is all i can think of at the moment, and this post was long enough lol. Fair thee well guardian :)

I moved from PS3 to PS4 and my son was on 360. At Christmas he decided he wanted to switch to PS when I asked him which new system he would like. He had to start over on Destiny but with the new leveling and light options, he was up to his old level in no time. Now, several of his friends from 360 are moving over too. New friends for him and now some of his old ones too. He's glad he switched. Good luck to you.

PS4 has won the sales war, so it is going to be favored by developers. What exclusives, friends and controller preference should be your top purchase decisions.

Whichever one your friends are on.

2 RepliesFortunate to have both.

2 RepliesPro of Xbox, u keep ur gear that you've earned in 360. If u go ps4 u have to start from square one

I like the Xbox controller and user interface way more than PS. But really depends on what console you would have more friends in.Plus PS4 has slightly more content for Destiny than Xbox. But personally, Jade Rabbit and a strike doesn't make me like PS4 more than XB1.

Edited by Forever277: 6/11/2016 5:47:51 AMStay on xbox if that's where youre coming from.....seriously, why start over? Both systems are basically the same performance wise Both consoles have comparable playerbases(regardless of the bs people spew about one or the other having better players, just look at the combined leaderboards) Stay where your friends are, why go through building a friend's list again? From a playstation4 user. If you dgaf about restarting, go with a ps4, i think it's better, but I'm obviously biased lol

4 RepliesFrom someone who has both and plays Destiny exclusively on both. 1. Xbox is much easier to navigate parties, invites and messages. Much much easier and far more intuitive. 2. PS4 has what I can tell to be slightly better graphics. Not as cartoonish in the smallest way possible but to a discerning eye... Noticeable. 3. Xbox seems to be the more competitive PVP community. I'm not alone in this opinion. 4. PS4 gets you more content, period. There is more Destiny to your Destiny on PS4. 5. Xbox has the Elite controller. Destroys the ps4 controller in so many ways. imo 6. PS4 LFG versus Xbox is completely easier to get a LFG group going with Xbox and DestinyLFG. Far simpler on Xbox to accomplish this simple task 7. PS4's app is much more complicated to navigate than the Xbox app Bottom line : PS4 is unintuitive Xbox has Elite controller Destiny on PS4 has more content. How much does the complications of PS4 matter to you when you get more out of your Destiny purchase? Up to how much value you place in ease of use and a top notch controller.

Xboxone for sure

If you mainly play destiny i'd recommend PS, I switched from Xbox in Oct. Obviously had to start from scratch but the exclusives and community made the transition easier to bear, even though I lost everything from beta until then.
-
Whichever platform you have more friends on. Destiny is more fun with friends.
-
If youvalready have chars then the one but if you dont care about restarting go with ps4
-
Xbox is better, but PlayStation is getting all the exclusives.
-
PS4 for all them exclusives
-
I have a One and a 4 switched to PlayStation at year two but really only play Destiny on it. I like destiny a lot better on it. Almost all other games I play are in Xbox. I think Destiny is MUCH better in almost all ways on ps

Ps4 neo

1 ReplyI'm an Xbox 360 player too and I'll be getting the ps4 mostly because of the exclusives and cause I have good friends on the ps4.
-
Get an xbone before the dlc comes out. Then your characters will transfer over. Otherwise I would say get a ps4 because of the exclusives for more than just destiny.
-
If it's solely for destiny probably ps4 honestly since the exclusives. But if you don't know any friends on PS, but you have many on xbox and dont want to lose your account( including live subscription, you'd have to rebuy for ps4) friends, gamerscore, etc then stay xbox.
-
Ya go xbox. I think your characters carry over. You will have some catching up to do on ps4 otherwise.

PS4. Especially since Sony is dominating in the exclusives zone (that includes exclusive Destiny content).
